I’ll be honest – when I first heard about casa RosAlina, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the best discoveries come from lowered expectations. This little gem completely caught me off guard, and now I actually find myself recommending it to friends who want something authentic without the tourist-trap feel.

What struck me right away was how the place feels more like staying at someone’s thoughtfully renovated home than a typical hotel. The owners clearly put real care into the details – I mean, you can tell when people actually give a damn about their property versus just going through the motions. The common areas have this lived-in comfort that makes you want to linger over coffee in the morning instead of rushing out to tick off sightseeing boxes. And honestly, with a 9.2 rating, I wasn’t the only one who felt this way – though I was surprised to see it rated that highly for a smaller property.

The rooms themselves hit that sweet spot of being clean and comfortable without trying too hard to be fancy. You’re not getting marble bathrooms or designer furniture, but everything works properly (which, let’s face it, isn’t always guaranteed even at pricier places). The beds are actually comfortable – I slept really well, which matters more to me than thread count or whatever. What I loved most was the attention to small things that make a difference when you’re traveling: decent water pressure, outlets where you need them, and proper blackout curtains so you can sleep in if you want. The housekeeping staff clearly takes pride in their work too – my room felt genuinely fresh each day, not just quickly tidied.

I stayed during what seemed like a pretty busy period, but the place never felt chaotic or overwhelmed. Check-in was smooth and personal – no long lines or harried staff. The whole vibe is just… relaxed, I guess? Like they’ve figured out how to run a hotel without making it feel corporate or impersonal. It’s the kind of place where you might chat with other guests at breakfast (if that’s your thing) or just enjoy your coffee in peaceful silence (if it’s not). Either way works perfectly fine.

  The property feels like being in your home. Clean space, spacious for a family of 5. City center at a close distance, 25 minutes on foot. It is also close to Gardaland and Viva Natura Park by car. Hosts are very polite and ready to help. Verona is beautiful and cool (temperature wise) which is vibrant day and night. Plenty parking space for free in the street (parking spaces in the area are white-coloured -> free)

  Brightly decorated, far more interesting than the bland neutral apartments often seen. Excellent shower. Kitchen was very well equipped. We used the apartment as a base to go into opera at the Arena over 3 consecutive nights. The bus stop is less than 5 minutes away and the 11, 12 or 13 bus take you straight to Piazza Brava (about 15 mins). Same buses take you to the main railway station (5 mins). The Airline Link bus 199 runs from this railway station to the airport (no more than 20 mins). Public transport ran efficiently and often. The opera finishes around 1am and we did not find night buses. The walk to the apartment was just under 30 minutes and I and my daughter felt safe. So the apartment is really well located. There is a good supermarket 3 minutes away which had everything we needed. The air conditioning was fantastic and so welcome as it was very hot even late at night. It was quiet at night and bed very comfortable. The photos are very accurate.
  
  What could be improved: Hard to think of anything. We did not realise that the door to balcony had electric connectors and that if these were not in contact with each other, the aircon would not work. The owners came out late at night to show us that we had not pushed the door firmly enough. They were very kind about it. A file explaining things about the apartment would be a good addition perhaps? Things like the aircon, where to dispose of rubbish and recycling (we worked it out – big bins on the street), although everything was very easy to use.

  Great location, it was easy to find a free car park and walk to the town center, clean and spacious apartment and very helpful host !

  It is a flat in a block of house (condominium?) on the 2nd floor. The flat is modern, nice, clean and comfortable. The bed mattress is HQ. Never found such a kind of great place! The owners were very kind and flexibile.
  Bakery is in the other side on the house.
  
  What could be improved: No negative comment, but for unjustified words maybe the location is a suburbian style, which it is not a problem, just suprised me.

  – Clean place,
  – location: is not so far from the city center, around 15 minutes walking
  – spacious apartment with 2 air conditioners,
  – you can find all you need inside the place,
  – even it is in a big building, it was quite,
  
  What could be improved: – parking place : you can find free street parking in the front of the building, or nearby, but they are all narrow, so you have to take that risk (to find your car scratched or damaged).
  I was a little stressed, because, one week before, I found my car scratched in Florence (although it was parked legally), all over the left side with a key or something similar.

  The apartment was spacious with a large balcony. it was secure with easy access and we always got a parking spot on the street.
  
  What could be improved: it was about a 20 minute to the train station. Not sure if bus stops were closer. We caught a taxi from the Arena which was quite cheap.
