Casa Spagnolo Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Casa Spagnolo on Via Antonio Spagnolo, you immediately get the sense this isn’t your typical tourist hotel. It’s tucked away on a quiet residential street, which honestly makes it feel more like you’re staying at a friend’s place than checking into accommodation. The building has that authentic Italian charm — you know, the kind where the architecture actually tells a story rather than just looking pretty for Instagram. What really caught my attention was how peaceful it felt, especially considering you’re still very much in Verona.
The Location Sweet Spot
Here’s what I love about where this four-star place sits — it’s close enough to everything that matters, but far enough from the tourist chaos that you can actually breathe. You’re not dealing with crowds of people taking selfies outside your window at 7 AM, which is honestly a blessing when you’re trying to sleep in. The couples who stay here seem to really get it (they rate the location 9.0, and I can see why). You can walk to the main sights without feeling like you need to budget half your day for transportation, but you also get to experience what it’s like to be in an actual Italian neighborhood.
Your Home Base
The room setup here feels thoughtfully designed rather than just thrown together. Everything you need is there, but it doesn’t feel cluttered or overly formal. I mean, when you’re spending your evenings planning the next day’s adventures or just unwinding with a glass of local wine, you want a space that actually feels comfortable. The ground floor location (piano terra) means you’re not hauling luggage up narrow Italian staircases — trust me, your back will thank you for this.
The Practical Stuff That Actually Matters
Let’s talk about something that’ll save you both money and headaches — the free parking. If you’ve ever tried to park in an Italian city center, you know this is basically like finding gold. Most places either don’t offer it at all or charge you what feels like a small fortune for the privilege. Here, it’s just included, which gives you the freedom to explore the Veneto region without worrying about where you’ll leave your car. Recent guests have been raving about the location (9.1 rating), and honestly, when you combine easy parking with a great neighborhood, you start to understand why.
Why Guests Love It
What really sets Casa Spagnolo apart is how it manages to hit that sweet spot between authentic local experience and genuine comfort. You’re not staying in some sterile hotel chain, but you’re also not roughing it in a place where nothing works properly. The 9.5 rating speaks for itself — people leave here feeling like they discovered something special rather than just checking another accommodation off their list. It’s the kind of place where you actually look forward to coming back at the end of the day, whether you’ve been wandering through Juliet’s courtyard or exploring the amphitheater.
Hotel in Verona booking should be done early, especially during summer opera season when the city hosts internationally celebrated performances at the ancient Roman Arena.

I like the quick access to the house key. I didn't even have to make a single phone call.
The apartment was clean and well maintained with guides to available buses and restaurants.
What could be improved: No English TV station
All were Italian.
So, it was useless for me and it means they were not expecting an international customer.
The dogs in the compound were scary.
Just 1 small bottle of water was available in the house on arrival.Patty from Italy – 12 January 2025 (10/10)

Alessandro from Switzerland – 5 May 2024 (10/10)
flexibility by the host to meet my needs
Angus from United Kingdom – 28 April 2024 (8/10)
Really nice, spacious and well equipped
What could be improved: Pretty far out of Verona and not a particularly nice trip there. Public transport in Verona is easy enough but not frequent past 9PM, so not particularly suitable for someone without a car.Torben from Germany – 22 April 2024 (10/10)
