Casa Stazione Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Casa Stazione, you immediately get the sense this isn’t your typical tourist hotel — and honestly, that’s exactly what makes it work. This three-star property sits quietly on Via Santa Teresa in the Borgo Roma district, and while it might not have the marble lobbies of the fancy places downtown, there’s something genuinely welcoming about the whole setup. The building has that understated Italian charm where everything feels lived-in but well-cared-for, you know? It’s the kind of place that prioritizes substance over pretense, offering guests an authentic experience without unnecessary frills or inflated pricing.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s what I really appreciated about staying in Borgo Roma — you’re actually in a real neighborhood where locals live and work, not some sanitized tourist bubble. Verona‘s historic center is easily reachable, but you get to experience the city from a different angle. The train station is close enough that you can hear the occasional rumble, but it never bothered me (and honestly, it’s kind of comforting in that urban way). What really sold me though was the parking situation — finding a free spot in any Italian city is basically winning the lottery, so having that sorted was huge. The location truly offers the best of both worlds for travelers seeking convenience and local authenticity.
The Room Experience
My room was clean and functional without any unnecessary frills. The bed was comfortable enough, and the bathroom had decent water pressure — sometimes it’s the simple things that matter most when you’re traveling. The decor is pretty straightforward, maybe a bit dated, but everything worked properly and the space felt bigger than I expected. There’s good natural light during the day, and the windows actually open properly, which is always a plus in my book. Each detail reflects the hotel’s commitment to practical comfort and reliability.
Practical Considerations
Look, this isn’t a place with a fancy restaurant or elaborate breakfast spread, but that’s not really the point. What Casa Stazione does well is provide a solid base for exploring without breaking the bank. The staff speaks enough English to handle check-in smoothly, and they’re genuinely helpful when you need directions or recommendations. I mean, they pointed me toward a fantastic little trattoria just a few blocks away that I never would have found otherwise. Their local knowledge and friendly demeanor make all the difference in your stay.
Why Guests Love It
The couples rating makes total sense to me — this place has that quiet, no-fuss vibe that’s perfect when you want to focus on exploring the city together rather than hanging around the hotel. You’re not paying for amenities you won’t use, and that free parking alone probably saves you 20-30 euros a day compared to staying in the center. It’s one of those places where you realize that sometimes the best travel experiences come from staying somewhere real rather than somewhere flashy. If you’re the type who values authenticity over Instagram-worthy lobbies, Casa Stazione delivers exactly what it promises, making it an ideal choice for discerning travelers.

Reviews of Casa Stazione
Cristina from Romania – 5 October 2024 (8/10)
The building is neat and clean. There are bus stops nearby where you can get anywhere in the city.
The room was taken care of and the cleaning done.
What could be improved: The location is approximately 3 km from the city center. It can be reached on foot in 30 minutes, and by bus in 15-20 minutes.
There is no coffee maker/express machine in the room.Sarah from United Kingdom – 10 September 2024 (8/10)
Bed very comfortable, bathroom really clean with big fluffy towels! Mini Fridge also good and decor was pleasant. Great local bar M16 Bistro across the road in the old Caza Statione building and a great local restaurant found nearby called Bella Napoli who serve the best Italian food we’ve had a very long time! We ate there each evening during our stay.
What could be improved: Quite confusing finding the property but once found all ok. Was quite a distance to the centre by bus.
Unfortunately, we had people in the next room to us who would come in very late and make alot of noise and TV very loud which wasn’t good for sleeping!Gregory from United Kingdom – 10 July 2024 (9/10)
Clean and affordable. You get what you pay for. Not too far from city but not a good walking distance in heat. Its a 10 minute scooter ride or drive to the city. The train station is 20 minute walk or 5 minute scooter ride. There is a small elevator to take you to the room, it has air-conditioning which is very appreciated in summer heat.
What could be improved: No safe in room, no spoon in room.Antonia from Germany – 21 June 2024 (9/10)
Cute little room with everything you need. The route to the central station or Verona city isn‘t as long as it seems.
But there is also a bus stop around the corner.Michel from Switzerland – 24 May 2024 (8/10)
Close to office and bus and station
Good value for money
Very clean and quiet
What could be improved: A little table and chair on the balcony would be great to enjoy the sunset and a cold drinkNaomi from Malta – 20 September 2023 (9/10)
Clean little apartment but it was enough. Check in has to be done online via a website but owner was helpful via chat. Few minutes away from bus stations that takes you to the centre.

The property itself is very nice, the building is secure and it’s also very clean, ideal if your just staying overnight for the station only.
What could be improved: Distance to the train station is not too far but to the city centre is really far and if you don’t drive this could be a big problem. There is also no space to store luggage before or after which was a big problem for us, ended up paying an extra £25 to store them at the station. the bed also is rather hard and makes a lot of noise with any movement.Enrico from Italy – 4 April 2023 (9/10)
Clean and practical. Very comfy and nice room. Easy to a quick stay during Vinitaly.
What could be improved: All good.Cristian from United States – 25 September 2022 (8/10)
What could be improved: NO Lift for going up!!! LOCKED! :-((((

I left my booking rather close to my trip and it was neat to impossible to find central accommodation at a decent price. Until I found Casa Stazione. It is some 15 minutes walk from the train station. A rather easy and pleasant walk since there are separate paths for cars, bicycles and pedestrians. with Casa Stazione you get what you sign up for. A lean room, strong internet, a private bathroom and air-conditioning. Access is fully automated and easy to use (provided yo have mobile data). There is a super friendly Cafeteria "Pasticceria Perlini" nearby which makes for an excellent breakfast or coffee in the morning (closed on Mondays). If yo need a quick bite Zanzibar kebab nearly offers one of the most succulent doners I ever took.
What could be improved: Nothing to complain about
