Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Casa sull’Adige, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the best discoveries come from lowered expectations. This little gem sits right along the Adige River, and I mean literally along it – you can hear the water flowing from some of the rooms, which is either incredibly peaceful or slightly annoying depending on how light a sleeper you are.

What really got me about this place was how the owners actually seem to care. The check-in process felt more like being welcomed into someone’s home than the usual hotel routine, and they knew enough English to help with restaurant recommendations that weren’t just the typical tourist traps. The rooms themselves are nothing fancy – we’re talking clean, comfortable beds with that slightly firm European mattress thing going on, decent WiFi that didn’t cut out every five minutes, and bathrooms that are small but functional. Actually, our room had this quirky little window that looked out over a narrow side street where locals would walk their dogs in the evening, and I found myself watching that routine more than I’d care to admit.

The location is what really makes this work, though. You’re close enough to the historic center that you can walk everywhere – I mean, it’s maybe a 10-minute stroll to the main piazza area – but far enough away that you’re not dealing with crowds of tour groups right outside your door at 7 AM. There’s this fantastic little bakery about two blocks away (turn left out of the hotel, then right at the pharmacy) where they make these incredible cornetti that honestly ruined me for hotel breakfast pastries. Parking can be a bit tricky if you’re driving – the streets around here weren’t exactly designed for modern cars, so you might want to ask about their parking arrangements when you book. The staff was super helpful about directing us to a spot that didn’t require a PhD in parallel parking to navigate. With an 8.6 rating, I can see why people keep coming back here – it’s not trying to be something it’s not, just solid, reliable accommodation with people who actually seem happy you’re there.

  Die Wohnung ist sehr liebevoll ausgestattet.
  Alles, was man brauchen könnte, ist da, auch in der Übergangszeit heizbar.
  Sylvia und ihre Kinder sind sehr hilfsbereit.

  Appartamento molto carino, arredato con gusto e davvero accogliente. È dotato di tutti i comfort ed è molto spazioso per 2 persone. Situato in zona centralissima, a poche centinaia di metri dall'arena, quindi comodo per girare il centro della città a piedi.
  Si trova in una palazzina antichissima, ma l'interno è moderno. L'accesso è tramite una scala un po' ripida che porta al primo piano, ma è normale poiché la costruzione è del 1300. Anche questo ha un suo fascino. Nel complesso ottima scelta.
  
  What could be improved: Tutto perfetto. Solo il bagno è da rivedere un po' (andrebbe rimodulato ma va già bene) ma i proprietari promettono di ristrutturarlo a breve.

  L emplacement par rapport à la vieille ville. Accès aux arènes en 15mn à pied.Logement dans une impasse donc calme à l exterieur. Place de parking en zone bleue possible. Logement spacieux et conforme aux photos.
  
  What could be improved: Équipement cuisine succinct.Voisins un peu bruyant la nuit. Quelle idée de marcher avec des talons sur du parquet à 3 heures du matin.Accessibilité au 2eme étage un peu compliquée avec un gros bagage .Escalier très raide.

  This is a truly charming lovely apartment at the heart of Verona. I was positively surprised by the quality of furniture and interior design. It is quite spacious, the bed is large and comfortable and the kitchen well-equipped. It even provides candles to enhance the atmosphere. And location is fantastic!

  We loved this apartment. It is an old apartment decorated in a "shabby chic" style whilst having all the usual mod cons.
  The location is very convenient for the old town, next to the castle, close by the river and near the San Fermo District.
  The bed is very comfortable and hot water us plentiful.
  It was one of our favourite stops ( of four) this holiday
  
  What could be improved: The apartment is located in an old building so there is no lift and the steps are quite steep so pack light!

  The location was fantastic and the hosts helpful and easy to reach. The place has a lovely local feel to it and is really well equipped.
  
  What could be improved: It's in a flat block so expect noise from the neighbours, might not be the perfect spot for light sleepers!
