But this one actually delivers on both fronts. The moment you step inside, there’s this immediate sense that someone put real thought into every detail. It’s housed in what feels like a renovated historic building (though don’t quote me on the exact century), and they’ve managed to blend old-world charm with modern comfort in a way that doesn’t feel forced or overdone.

What really struck me was how quiet it gets at night, which – if you’ve spent any time in Verona during tourist season – you’ll know is no small feat. The rooms have this lovely weight to them, if that makes sense. Thick walls, substantial furniture, proper curtains that actually block out light. I mean, the attention to detail is pretty remarkable for a four-star place. The bathroom in my room had heated floors (discovered that happy accident on my first morning), and the shower pressure was honestly better than what I have at home. Small things, but they add up when you’re trying to unwind after walking around cobblestones all day.

The staff here seem to genuinely know their stuff about the area – not just the obvious tourist spots, but actual local recommendations. The guy at reception pointed me toward this little osteria about ten minutes’ walk away that I never would have found otherwise, and it ended up being one of my best meals in Italy. That kind of insider knowledge is worth its weight in gold when you’re somewhere new. The 9.7 rating makes perfect sense once you’ve stayed there – it’s not flashy or over-the-top, just consistently excellent in ways that matter. Check-in was smooth, the WiFi actually worked throughout the building, and they even sorted out laundry service without any of the usual runaround. You know what impressed me most though? They remember things. I mentioned I was an early riser on my first day, and every morning after that, there was coffee ready in the lobby by 6:30 AM without me having to ask. It’s that kind of place where small gestures feel natural rather than rehearsed, and honestly, that’s become pretty rare these days.

  It's a very big house, very spacy, all facilities are there, central location, Anna is a pleasant host. The place reminds you as you are in museum. The beds are large downstairs

  In all my travel, I have never found a place to compare to this apartment, be it location, aesthetics or cleanliness. The host is generous to a fault, the supplies she left us (quantity and quality) were incredible. We even got a special pie and a bottle of wine. Hats off to this place.

  The location couldn’t have been better. Sandra, the host was amazing, she couldn’t have been more helpful and gave us lots of great tips of places to eat and buy food. There was a generous supply of coffee for the Nespresso machine, a cake and n arrival as well as jams, wine and sweet treats.

  Location can’t be beat! 3 minute walk from the opera, so we went every evening 🙂 quiet street, good working AC. Great shower and fully stocked kitchen. The apartment is a historic sanctuary with wood beam ceilings.

  We’ve stayed at a lot of apartments in Italy and this is hands down the best value we’ve found. This place was beautiful, historic, spacious and so comfortable for our group of 6. The little things took this place to the next level, like 2 decent pillows on the bed per person, free espresso pods and American coffee, free cake and sparkling wine and an umbrella to use. And the most helpful and responsive host that gave us many recommendations and tips before and during our stay. The location is fantastic- right next to the arena but quiet at night.
  
  What could be improved: Could use a few hooks to hang towels in the bathroom.
