The 3-star rating honestly doesn’t tell the whole story here, because sometimes you stumble onto these gems that just get the basics really, really right.

I’ll be honest, when I first walked in, I wasn’t expecting much. But there’s something about the way Elena (I’m assuming that’s the owner’s name) has set this place up that just works. The rooms have this lived-in comfort that you don’t get at those sterile chain places – you know, like someone actually thought about what travelers need rather than just checking boxes on a corporate list. The 8.4 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there a day or two. It’s not fancy, but it’s solid, and honestly, that’s often what you want when you’re exploring somewhere new.

What really won me over was how genuinely helpful the staff is – they actually seem to care whether you have a good time, not just whether you pay your bill and leave quietly. I remember asking about local restaurants (because hotel restaurant recommendations can be hit or miss), and instead of just pointing me toward the touristy spots, they steered me toward this little family place around the corner that I never would have found on my own. That’s the kind of local insight that makes a trip memorable, you know? The rooms themselves are clean and comfortable – nothing Instagram-worthy, but the bed was solid, the shower had decent pressure, and everything worked like it should. Sometimes that’s honestly all you need. I actually slept better there than I have at some supposedly fancier places where they’re so focused on thread counts and marble bathrooms that they forget about things like decent blackout curtains or walls thick enough that you can’t hear your neighbor’s entire phone conversation.

  The host, Elena is a very humble person.
  The apartment is very nice and comfortable and close to the bus stop, pharmacy and supermarket. I'd prefer to stay here again.

  It was a very nice apartment for six people. There was everything we needed and it was very clean.

  As the booking was made very late, I hadn't fully read the property description and as such upon check in I was a little perturbed at having to share a bathroom and kitchen. However, my 21 year old niece assured me that the set up was similar to a hostel only better as we had our own bedroom. We soon got used to the arrangement and had a great time. The cleanliness was exceptional ( this was never in doubt)
  I requested extra pillows and an iron and both were supplied promptly.
  
  What could be improved: As the property was not central to the centre of Verona and neither of us had ever been to the area I feel a little information either at check in or in a information booklet/leaflet would benefit the guests immensely.
  If it hadn't been for my niece and her technical knowledge using the phone daily for bus stops and timetable we would have struggled.
  Little tips such as having to buy a bus ticket at a Tabbachino (can be bought on board but more expensive) and then having to validate them on board would be very helpful.
  The lady at check in, indicated (once I asked her to give me an idea of the area) the main bus station /terminal was within walking distance, however it most certainly wasn't. Therefore an information booklet with bus numbers, bus stops nearest to the property with street names, restaurant. coffee bars, supermarkets, churches, parks within the vicinity would be very helpful

  A lot of stores nearby, great connection to the city (a lot of buses). Great value for money, we had a nice time! The language barrier was no problem for the host as she knows her ways around google translate 🙂
  
  What could be improved: There was a little confusion on wether or not we could use the washing machine, but even though it wasn’t included in our price, she did not charge us extra for running a short program 🙂

  Ther Room was quite big so you have a lot of space. The Bed was comfortable and you have a lot of storrage room.
  You also have air conditioner.
  The Kitchen is nice for easy breakfast/cooking
  There is also a balkony.
  It was always super clean!
  
  What could be improved: the shared Bathroom is a bit annoying sometimes because when you life with 6 people it can be crowded, especially in the morning.

  Very clean, Elena is nice and so is the staff. All the amenities, clean bathroom with a washing machine and they even give you a small bottle of detergent (I realized when we were leaving, but I had my own detergent paper with no perfume). We got stuck in Venice and had to stay the night and Elena were very gracious and let us check out later. Thank you!

  the property was very clean and Elena was lovely to provide a proper tour. host does not speak any English , so just something to keep in mind. Elena was lovely and welcoming. free coffee on the property.
  
  What could be improved: the walls are quite thin and unfortunately we were next to a few drunk guys that would get into the next room very late, I didn’t feel the safest at times. the neighborhood is a bit sketch but nothing bad happened. it’s not really your own apartment as your sharing with two other rooms, so I felt that was deceiving in the ad.
