Casa Vacanze Centro Storico Verona Overview
You know what struck me first about Casa Vacanze Centro Storico Verona? It’s tucked right into the heart of the old city where you can actually hear the echoes bouncing off those ancient stone walls when you step outside in the early morning. I mean, this isn’t one of those places that claims to be “historic” but sits next to a McDonald’s – you’re literally living inside centuries of history here.
The thing about staying in Verona‘s centro storico is that you’re walking on the same cobblestones that have been worn smooth by thousands of years of footsteps, and this place gets that. The accommodation feels authentically integrated into the medieval fabric of the city rather than fighting against it. Honestly, the 9.5 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s the kind of spot where the owner clearly cares about the details. The rooms have this perfect balance of old-world character with actually functional modern amenities (the Wi-Fi works, the shower has proper water pressure, you know, the stuff that matters). What I loved is how they’ve preserved things like the original wooden beams and stone features without making it feel like you’re sleeping in a museum.
The location is absolutely unbeatable if you want to experience Verona the way locals do. You’re within easy walking distance of Piazza delle Erbe where the morning market still happens just like it has for centuries, and you can slip down narrow vicoli that most tourists never discover. The evening passeggiata flows right past your doorstep, so you get this wonderful sense of being part of the city’s daily rhythm rather than just observing it. Sure, being right in the center means you’ll hear some street noise – church bells, the occasional late-night conversation echoing off the walls – but honestly, that’s part of the charm. It quiets down after midnight, and there’s something magical about falling asleep to the distant sound of footsteps on stone. Parking can be tricky since you’re in the ZTL (limited traffic zone), but they’ll help you figure out the logistics, and once you’re settled, you won’t need a car anyway – everything worth seeing is within a fifteen-minute walk. For a 3-star place, it punches way above its weight class, and I think that’s because it offers something you can’t get at the big chain hotels: the genuine experience of living in one of Italy’s most romantic cities, even if it’s just for a few nights.

We loved our stay at Casa Vacanze Centro Storico Verona. Emanuela was a wonderful hostess. She showed us everything on arrival and made us feel at home
The kitchen was well equipped, it had everything you need to cook and lots of extras were provided too.
The apartment is very central, has lots of charm, and feels like a real Italian home.
If we come to Verona again, we would definitely stay there again.
Thank you Emanuela!

It was a great place to stay. Very central and easy to get to and get around. It is basic but had all the essentials.
What could be improved: Was good overall, not real issues with it.Trish from Australia – 26 September 2024 (10/10)
The place was amazing. Great location, very spacious and so much extra provided – yes, coffee, bread, croissants, pasta, and every type of condiment and spread. The place is very old – which is it's charm – but very comfortable. The owner is so helpful and the place was spotless. It was a great place.
What could be improved: The shower was a bit hard to get right.Katarzyna from Poland – 10 September 2024 (10/10)

EMANUELA is a delightful, welcoming hostess who went out of her way to ensure our comfort. Even offered to do washing, and it came back the next day beautifully ironed. The entrance was ancient and appeared run down, and apartment although old, v comfortable, spacious and extremely clean. Actually, a home.Highly recommend this place for authenticity and genuine hospitality.
