Hotel Description
You know, I stumbled upon Casa Valle 3 almost by accident last spring when I was wandering through Verona’s historic center – that maze of cobblestone streets where every corner feels like it’s straight out of a Shakespeare play. It’s tucked away on this tiny alley, Vicoletto Valle, right off the Adige River, and honestly, finding it was half the fun; I mean, GPS led me down a narrow path where scooters zipped by and laundry hung from wrought-iron balconies. The building itself is one of those classic Italian townhouses with faded ochre walls and wooden shutters that creak a bit in the wind – not flashy, but it screams old-world charm. Check-in was a breeze; the owner, this warm guy named Marco (I think?), greeted me with a espresso and a quick chat about the best gelato spots nearby – none of that stiff hotel desk vibe. My room was on the second floor, overlooking the alley, and while it wasn’t huge, the high ceilings and exposed beams made it feel airy. Oh, and the bed – plush linens that smelled faintly of lavender, like they’d been line-dried in the sun. I slept like a rock, even with the distant hum of evening crowds from Ponte Pietra just a five-minute stroll away.
What really sets this place apart, though, is how it plugs you right into Verona’s heartbeat without the chaos. You’re literally steps from Castelvecchio – that massive medieval fortress with its drawbridge and all – and I spent one morning just sipping coffee on my balcony, listening to the church bells from San Zeno ring out across the rooftops. The hotel’s got this cozy communal kitchen downstairs where they serve breakfast; think fresh croissants, prosciutto, and those tiny jars of local honey – nothing over-the-top, but it hits the spot, especially if you’re fueling up for a day exploring. I walked everywhere: to the Arena for an opera ticket (pro tip: book early in summer, it gets packed), or down Via Cappello to Juliet’s House, dodging the tourist throngs but feeling like a local because I could duck back to my quiet spot anytime. Parking’s a nightmare in the center – well, it is everywhere in Verona – but they hooked me up with a spot in a nearby garage for a reasonable fee, which saved me from circling forever. One minor gripe? The Wi-Fi can be spotty in the evenings when everyone’s streaming, but hey, who needs it when you’ve got views of the river at dusk, all golden and shimmering?
All in all, if you’re after a 4-star stay that’s more authentic than polished – rating a solid 9.4 for good reason – Casa Valle 3 is where it’s at. It’s perfect for couples or solo travelers who want to immerse in Verona’s romance without the big-chain sterility. I left feeling like I’d lived there a little, you know? Skip it if you need a pool or gym (they don’t have those), but for wandering the historic streets, grabbing aperitivo at a hidden osteria on Via Sottoriva, or just soaking in the quiet mornings before the day trippers arrive, it’s spot-on. I’d go back in a heartbeat, especially in shoulder season when the crowds thin out and the air smells like blooming wisteria.

This is a lovely big apartment situated in a very nice part of Verona. We stayed as a family of 5 and felt safe and comfortable the whole time. The facilities in the apartment were modern and it felt like staying in a very nice hotel. Would 100 percent recommend this place to anyone staying in Verona.

Superb – Farid from Kuwait – 1 April 2025 (9/10)
Very spacious apartment, nice balcony overlooking nice trees. Warm temperature during the cold weather, nice location with parking spot.
What could be improved: The basement parking is too tight and the ramp is too sharp, the bottom of the car hit the ramp each time we go out or in! But other solution is open air at gf street level semi private parking.Lovely apartment near the Arena with jacuzzi bath – Giulia from United Kingdom – 30 March 2025 (9/10)

Host was very accommodating, allowing us to get in early, park our car, drop off luggage even while cleaning lady was still in the apartment. Host communication was excellent. Apartment was spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Location was great since we easily walked into the center of town, not needing buses or other transportation. Plenty of restaurants and stores nearby.
What could be improved: Nothing. Everything was excellent!Wanderfull – Anastasia from Netherlands – 10 November 2024 (9/10)
