Borgo Trento is where locals live and work, so you’ll find yourself grabbing coffee next to people heading to their offices rather than tour groups. You can walk to the historic center in about fifteen minutes, but when you want to escape the crowds and find a proper restaurant where they’re not pushing tourist menus, you’ve got authentic options right around the corner. I mean, couples rate this spot 9.5 out of 10, and that tells you something about the romantic potential of wandering these quieter streets.

Your Home Base

The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d want after a day of exploring — comfortable without being fussy, clean in that Italian way where everything just works properly. What struck me was the attention to practical details that matter when you’re actually living somewhere for a few days. Good lighting for reading, decent storage space, and — this might sound small but it’s huge — reliable wifi that doesn’t cut out every ten minutes. The whole place has this residential feel that makes sense given the neighborhood, so don’t expect hotel lobby grandeur, but do expect to sleep well and wake up ready to tackle Verona.

Getting Around

One thing that really worked for me was how easy it became to develop a routine here. There’s parking available, which is honestly a relief if you’re driving in Italy — finding a spot in central Verona can be a nightmare. But even if you’re walking everywhere, the bus connections are solid, and once you figure out the rhythm of the neighborhood, you’ll find yourself taking routes that most visitors never discover. I actually ended up walking different paths to the city center each day, just because there are so many pleasant residential streets to explore.

  It's a special appartment, full of treasures for those who appreciate history and Italian living. I liked the feeling of staying in the home of some Italian grandparents.

  The apartment is amazing, huge, equipped with absolutely everything you need. There's an impressive book collection and works of art at your disposal, wonderful! And the location is also great, close to the city center, but in a very peaceful neighborhood.

  Quiet clean place. It has everything you expect to have at home. The place is full of books and paintings. It is located very close to the historical center and at the same time away from the crowds.

  Everything. The apartment is central, spacious, really well equipped and comfortable. It is delightful to live there and discover how the owners lived. The cafes, bars and restaurants are good value and the supermarket could not be closer. The city is fabulous and we want to return. The owners or agents are responsive and helpful and generous with what they provide -plenty of coffee, breakfast items, oil and vinegar etc, and laundry liquid. We spent a great week there.
  
  What could be improved: The shower screen in the small bathroom needs replacing, but it's a small thing.

  Bed in second room not suitable for 76 year old. Shower had to be held by hand. Coming in it would have been nice to have a few tourist brochures and a map of Verona.
  
  What could be improved: The property was a lovely private home with many lovely things to look at, like a mini museum. It was very warm and welcoming. It was also very convenient to wander around the old city,

  Great location- short walk to historic centre, quiet residential area, just off bus route to train station, supermarket nearby. Lovely characterful flat- lots of books and paintings. Well equipped kitchen ( which has a small balcony) ; Gas hob which worked well, and extractor fan which vents outside taking smells and heat away; basics such as oil, salt, pepper,pasta in kitchen, and icecubes in the freezer . 2 bathrooms, plenty of wardrobe space for clothes. Host very helpful and quick to reply to communications. 2 large electric fans to help with hot weather- and marble floors which were lovely and cool in the very hot weather we had during our stay!
