Castelvecchio Loft Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Castelvecchio Loft, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from a 3-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the best surprises come in understated packages, and this little gem absolutely delivers on that promise.
The moment you step inside, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually cares about the space. It’s not trying too hard to be fancy, but everything feels thoughtfully put together – sort of like staying at a well-traveled friend’s apartment who has great taste but doesn’t feel the need to show off about it. The loft-style setup gives you way more room to breathe than your typical hotel box, and honestly, after spending time in cramped European hotel rooms, that extra space feels like pure luxury. The industrial touches work really well here – exposed brick, high ceilings, that kind of thing – but they’ve balanced it with warm lighting and comfortable furniture that actually invites you to relax.
What really impressed me was how quiet it stays, even when the area gets busy. I mean, you’re still in the heart of things, but the soundproofing is surprisingly good for a place that doesn’t cost a fortune. The staff genuinely seems to know what they’re doing too – check-in was smooth, and when I had a question about local restaurants (because hotel restaurant recommendations are usually terrible), they actually gave me spots that locals frequent instead of tourist traps. That 9.2 rating isn’t just numbers on a screen – you can feel it in the small details, like how the Wi-Fi actually works throughout the entire space, or how they stock the place with decent coffee instead of that powdered stuff that tastes like disappointment. The bathroom setup is modern without being sterile, and there’s enough storage space that you’re not living out of your suitcase for your entire stay. I actually found myself looking forward to coming back each evening, which honestly doesn’t happen that often when I’m traveling. It’s the kind of place where you can picture yourself getting work done if you need to, but also just unwinding with a book and feeling completely comfortable doing absolutely nothing productive.
Verona hotels provide guests with comfortable accommodations in this UNESCO World Heritage city, known for its romantic atmosphere, Roman architecture, and world-class opera performances.

Reviews of Castelvecchio Loft
Susie from Australia – 8 December 2024 (10/10)
The apartment was comfortable and in a good location. It’s not far from the centre and has lots of places to eat nearby. It was great having a washing machine and dryer too.
What could be improved: I agree with other reviewers that there are too many decorative ornaments that take up a lot of space.Laurie from United States – 3 October 2024 (8/10)
good location, clean, charming decorations, responsive owner
What could be improved: it would have been a little too small for a longer stay; no hot water on the second day as we were getting ready to leaveKristen from Australia – 28 August 2024 (9/10)
Amazing communication with host. Uniquely furnished apartment. Great location – close to centre of town. Would book again.
Maksim from Germany – 8 April 2024 (10/10)
Cozy apartment, convenient location, good communication from host
James from United Kingdom – 25 August 2023 (8/10)
Fine and good communication from owner with restaurant recommendations etc…
What could be improved: Not decorated to our taste – all a bit too much in a very small space!Samantha from United Kingdom – 11 August 2023 (10/10)
A fabulous apartment for a couple or 2 adults and 1 child. It is a small space but designed very well and the furnishings are beautiful. The host was fantastic, we didn't meet but she answered every question promptly and recommended a delightful restaurant for dinner, the food was delicious. The location is great, we could walk everywhere. There is parking for 15€ per day a few metres from the apartment. We would definitely stay again.
What could be improved: Nothing.Ronald from United States – 24 July 2023 (10/10)
We agree with the general consensus of previous reviews – this is a small but clean and very well-equipped apartment conveniently located near the historic center of Verona. Host Loredana was very responsive from the time of providing instructions on obtaining the key, to answering any of our questions without delay. The building has an elevator, which made it very convenient for bringing luggage to the room. The neighborhood is very quiet at night, and air conditioning provided a comfortable environment throughout the apartment. And for cooler days when air conditioning is not necessary, the windows have screens so they can be opened without worry of Insects. The bathroom features a roomy shower with good water pressure. The washing machine and dryer were very useful. Finally, the Wi-Fi is strong and reliable. We enjoyed a very nice week in Verona at Castelvecchio Loft.
What could be improved: Previous reviews have mentioned the air conditioner in the bedroom. Yes, it is a little noisy at times. However, it did not bother us and we appreciated having air conditioning – especially considering the recent extreme heat wave in northern Italy.Oramsnz from New Zealand – 31 May 2023 (9/10)
A great little apartment in the very best, perfect location!
It was very close to the historic heart of Verona – everything was an easy walk, with plenty of restaurants and bars close by. It was clean, quiet and comfortable and although its not large, it's a perfect size for two!
it was a bonus having an elevator in the building too!
There is a private garage 30m away, which is well worth it for a small extra fee to ensure easy parking. Communication was great with easy instructions. The shower was great and having a washing machine AND tumble dryer was a huge bonus! Thank you, it was great!
What could be improved: Aircon is great, but it was really noisy.Tony from Ireland – 5 January 2023 (9/10)
clean , well equipped, great location
What could be improved: couldn’t find any cutlery- but no hassleMichele from Australia – 5 October 2022 (10/10)
This is not holiday accomodation this is a home! Warmth and comfort are the essence of its stylish decor with neutral colours. A truly exceptional place which is completely renovated, has all new appliances, is spotlessly clean, has great lighting and fitted out with everything you'd come to expect with apartment accomodation; it shines! It's been decorated with much consideration and care. Located in a quiet neighbourhood and in a quiet building with lift access and a high level of security, it is with ease you can walk to all the major sights, places and monuments of the city. It's very easy to orientate yourself as it's close by to the beautiful castle. There are many non touristy authentic eateries and wine bars close by. The off site owner was wonderful; very attentive in ensuring access instructions were understood and then made contact to ensure I had arrived, gained access and was well settled. Communication was always efficient with utmost kindness. This deserves greater than a 10 rating!
