Corte Melone rooms Overview
First Impressions
Walking through the narrow cobblestone streets of Verona‘s historic center, you might almost miss Corte Melone rooms — and that’s actually part of its charm. This three-star property sits tucked away in a quiet courtyard at Corte Melone 2, which honestly feels like discovering a hidden gem. The building itself has that weathered Italian elegance you see all over the old quarter, but what struck me immediately was how peaceful it felt despite being right in the thick of everything.
Location Magic
I mean, you really can’t ask for a better spot in Verona. You’re literally steps from Piazza delle Erbe and maybe a three-minute walk to Juliet’s balcony — though I’d recommend going early morning to avoid the crowds. What I love about this location is that you can stumble back from dinner at those fantastic little trattorias around Via Cappello without worrying about catching transport or navigating confusing streets. The couples who stay here clearly get it too, rating the location 9.8 out of 10, and honestly, I can see why.
The Room Experience
Now, this isn’t upscale accommodation — it’s a three-star place — but the room I stayed in was surprisingly well thought out. The beds here are genuinely comfortable, which matters more than you’d think after spending all day walking around Roman ruins and medieval squares. There’s something to be said for simple, clean spaces that just work, and that’s exactly what you get here. The windows in my apartment opened onto the courtyard, so mornings were actually quite serene despite being in the city center.
Practical Considerations
What you need to know is that this place prioritizes location over amenities — there’s no fancy spa or elaborate breakfast setup. But honestly, when you’re this close to some of Verona’s best cafes, you’ll probably want to grab your morning cappuccino at a local bar anyway. The staff knows the neighborhood well and can point you toward the good spots that aren’t overrun with tour groups. Parking can be tricky in this part of town, so definitely check with them beforehand if you’re driving.
Why Guests Love It
The thing about Corte Melone rooms is that it gets the fundamentals right without trying to be something it’s not. You’re paying for an excellent location and a comfortable place to sleep, and it delivers on both fronts. The 9.9 location score isn’t just marketing fluff — you really are in the heart of everything that makes Verona special. Whether you’re here for the opera season at the Arena or just want to soak up that romantic Italian atmosphere, this place puts you exactly where you want to be. It’s the kind of spot where you’ll spend minimal time in your room because the entire city becomes your living space.

There's a few different rooms. The small room with the small balcony was really small and a bit claustrophobic, so we changed it to the studio suit and lit was really nice
