The entrance is understated but elegant, which honestly sets the perfect tone for what’s essentially a refined hideaway in one of Italy’s most romantic cities.

Location That Actually Matters

Here’s what I love about this spot — you can walk to Juliet’s balcony in about three minutes, but you’re not stuck in the middle of tourist chaos. The property earned a perfect 10.0 location score, and after staying here, I totally get why. You’re close enough to everything that matters (the Arena di Verona is maybe a five-minute stroll), but tucked away on a quieter street where you can actually get some sleep. Couples especially seem to appreciate this balance — there’s something about being able to slip away from the crowds but still be steps from a perfect dinner spot.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in had this wonderful blend of historical charm and modern comfort that you don’t always find in older Italian properties. The ceilings were high, the windows generous, and there was this attention to detail that made it feel more like a carefully curated home than a standard hotel space. What struck me most was how quiet everything was — despite being in the city center, the thick walls really do their job. The bathrooms are well-appointed without being flashy, and honestly, after a long day of exploring Verona’s winding streets, that’s exactly what you want.

The Neighborhood Feel

One thing that really sets this place apart is how it connects you to authentic Verona life. In the morning, you’ll hear locals chatting as they head to work, and in the evening, the nearby streets come alive with that distinctly Italian energy — people meeting for aperitivo, families out for their evening passeggiata. There’s a wonderful little restaurant just around the corner that the front desk recommended, and it turned out to be one of those places where locals actually eat, not just tourists. You know what I mean — the kind of spot you’d never find on your own but feels like a genuine discovery.

  The location was great, really central
  
  What could be improved: There was no heating and as it was raining outside and it’s an old building, i think it was 16 degrees Celsius inside, we could not take out shoes off, it was that cold. The owner refused to turn on the heating or bring a radiator, he only offred a bigger duvet, The pictures were taken some time ago when everything was in better shape. It was damp, moldy, uncomfortable. The bathroom was the coldest in the apt and full of mold and line scale, the cleaning items left out in the open .The communication with the host was very problematic, he only answered via whatsapp in italian. It said fully equipped kitchen but there was no way to turn on the stove. It did not have anything to hang your clothes on. I will attach a photo ofthe bathroom floor

  What could be improved: Really hot space. At 6am we left because it was impossible to breathe in the room. Our towels were not very clean. The bed clothes were cheap and not very comfortable.

  The location is amazing and the apartment is overall very nice.
  
  What could be improved: However, we travelled in July which is a hot month and the apartment had no air conditioning even though it stated it did in the ad. Instead, it has an ancient machine to which you could add water but it mostly works as a fan and not an air conditioning.

  The location is excellent, 10 minutes walk from the Arena and 4 minutes from piazzetta delle Erbe. The main entrance in the building is historically beautiful and the flat is comfortable and has everything you need for a shorter or longer stay. The owner is extremely accommodating, offered to store our luggage, let us check in 3 hours earlier and was a great communicator on WhatsApp.

  It was quaint. The location was a bonus as it was within walking distance to so many major attractions.
