Hotel Description
I remember stumbling upon Corte Realdi Suites Piazza Erbe almost by accident last summer – well, not really by accident, since I’d been wandering Verona’s old town for hours, dodging the crowds around Juliet’s House on Via Cappello, and suddenly there it was, tucked right on Via Mazzanti, just steps from the bustling heart of Piazza Erbe. Honestly, if you’re the type who loves that immersive historical vibe without feeling like you’re in a museum, this place nails it. The building’s this charming old palazzo, you know, with those weathered stone walls and arched doorways that make you feel like you’ve time-traveled – but in a good way, not the creaky, outdated kind. Check-in was a breeze; the staff (mostly locals, I think) were super welcoming, chatting about the best gelato spots nearby like that hidden one on Via Stella, and they even helped with my bags up the narrow stairs – no elevator here, which is a bit of a workout if you’ve overpacked, but hey, it’s part of the authentic charm in these ancient centers. Parking? Forget it if you’re driving; the historical zone’s pedestrian-only, so I left my rental at that lot near Porta Borsari and walked the five minutes over. Worth it, though, especially when the evening settles in and you hear the faint hum of market vendors packing up below, mixed with that earthy scent of fresh produce lingering in the air.
What really got me about the suites – and yeah, they’re more like apartments than standard rooms – is how they blend that old-world elegance with just enough modern comfort to make you forget you’re in a 4-star spot smack in Verona’s beating heart. My room overlooked the piazza, with these tall windows letting in the golden afternoon light that bounces off the frescoed walls down there, and honestly, waking up to the sound of church bells from Torre dei Lamberti was magical, even if it meant earplugs for light sleepers during festival season (like during the opera at the Arena, which is only a 10-minute stroll away via Corso Porta Borsari). The kitchenette was a lifesaver – I whipped up espresso from beans I grabbed at the morning market, and the bedding? Super plush, with those crisp linens that smell faintly of lavender, probably from some local laundry trick. It’s not perfect; the Wi-Fi can be spotty in the thicker-walled rooms, and if you’re noise-sensitive, ask for one facing the quieter courtyard side – but overall, it feels lived-in, like staying at a friend’s elegant pied-à-terre. I mean, you can literally step out and grab a spritz at one of the cafes under the arches, or wander to the Adige River for a sunset walk without ever needing a map.
Look, if you’re planning a trip to Verona – especially in the shoulder seasons like early fall when the crowds thin out and the air gets that crisp, grape-harvest edge – this is the kind of place that makes the whole experience pop. It’s not some flashy chain; it’s intimate, with that insider feel that lets you live like a local for a few days. I’d go back in a heartbeat, maybe even splurge on one of the bigger suites next time for a group trip. You know what? It just reminds you why Verona’s historical center is worth the hype – all that romance and history, right at your doorstep, without sacrificing comfort.

Location couldn’t be better! Between piazza Erbe and piazza del Signori with Dante statue. 👌 Studio was comfortable, nicely decorated with big bathroom. Breakfast in a cafe on Piazza Erbe for €16 was good, sitting out on the terrace when the sun shine is great 👍
What could be improved: only sleeping pillows could be softer but that’s according preferences to everyoneChris from United States – 29 March 2025 (8/10)
Lovely little facility. Great feel in the heart of Verona. Heavy luggage is a challenge as there are no lifts. Comfortable stay. Would have stayed another night, but they were full.

What could be improved: A little noisy outside in the eveningPovolny from United States – 8 March 2025 (8/10)
Beautiful apartment. Lovely balcony with a view of the Piazza delle Erbe.
What could be improved: We were there on a Friday and Saturday night right above the bar/restaurant below. We were warned of the noise from the Piazza upon arrival which we were fine with. Noise of people would have been fine, but the noise was more like the thump of the bass coming from a night club that went on until at least 3:00 am on Friday and for some reason only 2:00 am on Saturday. I sincerely apologize if the noise was listed in the reviews before I booked this and I missed it. If you are a younger person that is going to be at this clubs until late on Friday and Saturday, this place is perfect. Not sure how it is on a weekday and maybe it was just our room location. Loved everything but the late night noise.Sarah from Saudi Arabia – 19 February 2025 (10/10)
The building is from 14th century and the rooms have orignal frescos. The room was stunning, the staff was amazing, the location was subperb. This is easily one of the best places I have stayed in and I would recommend it again! THE VIEW FROM THE BALCONY WAS INCREDIBLE. Absolutely phenomenal place. The exterior was so pretty as well. You can see it from the square. Lovely guy named Cris helped us with everything we could need. There was no elevator but he kindly helped us carry our luggage at check-in and check-out. And they do luggage store as well. They let us check-in early as well. Incredible experience!
