Crowne Plaza Verona Fiera by IHG Overview
I’ll be honest, when I first pulled up to Crowne Plaza Verona Fiera by IHG, I wasn’t expecting much – you know how some business hotels can be pretty sterile. But this place actually surprised me in the best way possible. The lobby has this warm, contemporary feel that somehow manages to blend modern Italian design with that reliable IHG comfort you can count on. The staff at check-in were genuinely helpful (not just going through the motions), and I could tell right away this wasn’t going to be one of those cookie-cutter experiences.
What really struck me about staying here was how it captures the essence of Verona without trying too hard. The hotel sits in a spot where you’re close enough to the exhibition center if you’re here on business, but honestly, it works just as well for leisure travelers who want a solid base without the tourist trap pricing of the city center. The rooms are spacious – I mean, actually spacious, not European-hotel-pretending-to-be-spacious – and they’ve got these great floor-to-ceiling windows that let in so much natural light. The beds are properly comfortable too, which matters more than people realize when you’re exploring a city all day. I loved that the bathrooms had decent water pressure and those little touches that show someone actually thought about what guests need.
The restaurant surprised me the most, actually. I went in expecting typical hotel food, but the chef clearly knows what they’re doing with both local ingredients and international dishes. The breakfast spread was impressive without being overwhelming, and they do this thing with fresh pastries that honestly rivals some of the cafes I tried in town. You know what else I appreciated? The hotel never felt crowded or chaotic, even during what seemed like a busy conference week. There’s something to be said for a place that maintains that calm, professional atmosphere while still feeling welcoming. The 8.5 rating makes perfect sense to me – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Verona, but it absolutely nails what it sets out to do. If you want reliable comfort with genuine Italian hospitality, and you don’t need to be right in the middle of the historical chaos, this is honestly a smart choice.
Verona hotels provide guests with comfortable accommodations in this UNESCO World Heritage city, known for its romantic atmosphere, Roman architecture, and world-class opera performances.

What could be improved: They didn't have bathrobes and slippers ready. You need to ask them at reception. Shower needs a better cleaning. Tv should be smart and able to connect to netflix or other apps. Some tv channels were not even working.Lok from Hong Kong – 10 December 2024 (9/10)
