Di tutto punto in centro a Verona Overview

Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name Di tutto punto in centro a Verona, I thought it was going to be one of those overly precious boutique places that’s all style and no substance. But you know what? I was completely wrong, and I’m actually glad I gave it a shot during my week in Verona last spring.

The location is what really got me – you’re literally in the heart of everything, maybe a three-minute walk from Piazza delle Erbe where all the market stalls are set up. I mean, you can hear the morning vendors setting up their produce stands from your window, which sounds annoying but is actually kind of charming once you get used to it. The building itself has that weathered Italian elegance thing going on, where you can tell it’s been around forever but someone’s put real care into maintaining it. The entrance is tucked away just enough that you feel like you’re discovering something special, but not so hidden that your taxi driver gets lost trying to find it (which, let’s face it, happens more often than it should in these old Italian cities).

What really impressed me was how they managed to blend modern comfort with authentic character. The rooms aren’t huge – this is a historic center, after all – but they’re thoughtfully designed with these gorgeous original ceiling beams and updated bathrooms that actually have decent water pressure. The staff genuinely knows the neighborhood too, not just the tourist spots. When I mentioned I was looking for good wine, the front desk guy – Marco, I think his name was – sent me to this tiny enoteca around the corner that I never would have found on my own. Honestly, that recommendation alone made my trip. The 9.1 rating makes perfect sense when you experience that kind of personal attention. Sure, you might hear some street noise in the evenings when people are heading to dinner, but that’s part of the charm of staying right in the action rather than out in some sterile hotel district. Plus, if you’re planning to see the Arena di Verona – and you really should – you can literally walk there in under ten minutes without dealing with any of the parking nightmare that comes with driving in the old city. It’s that sweet spot of being perfectly positioned without feeling touristy or sanitized, which is honestly harder to find than you’d think in a place like Verona.

Reviews of Di tutto punto in centro a Verona

Location was fantastic; this is an area that we’ve been to before. The walk over the bridge to get to the amphitheater was ~15 minutes and away from the hustle and noise. Couple of local coffee shops 2 small blocks away and a mini-mart. We generally enjoy walking around so this was a ‘short’ distance. It is a ~30 minute walk (without luggage) from the main train station so we took a cab. It is located on the 4th floor and with the shutters closed it is very quiet, so is the building itself. We had an issue with the boiler and we contacted the owner and it was dealt with expeditiously.

What could be improved: My spouse felt the bed was too hard (I did not). I wish there was a towel rod against the wall (it seemed as if there was one before), as well as a shelf in the shower — speaking of, it is very small, if you drop something you had to bend down with your knees. There is no lift and we had quite the workout bringing up luggage.

Esperienza del tutto positiva‘ la consiglierei pienamente!

What could be improved: La serratura della porta di entrata era un po‘ ostica

  • Lila from Argentina – 22 February 2024 (10/10)

Great location and attention from the staff since we booking on only few hours notice. Place very well thought and decorated. Just as in the apartment hired pictures.
Only be aware that as description said access is only through stairs and is last floor.

What could be improved: The single sofa beds mattresses could be improved as we only booked for one night for 4 people and it could get quite uncomfortable, contrary to the room with the queen size bed that was perfect.

  • Petra from Slovenia – 16 November 2023 (10/10)

Apartment was very cute, cozy, bright and just the right size. Everything was clean. Kitchen has everything you need. The host was very nice and quick to respond.

  • Светлана from Latvia – 2 August 2023 (5/10)

Location was good close to centre, but apartments could be better and more cleaned, old staff in room looks very old and need to be change. Air condition just only in one room but not in the bedroom, which feels uncomfortable sleep during night time.

  • Gillian from Ireland – 20 July 2023 (10/10)

The property was very stylish and very clean and it was in a great location, just a 10 minute walk into centre of Verona. Interaction and instructions from the host were perfect.

What could be improved: It is located on the 3rd floor which was fine for us but may not suit everyone.
