Hotel Description
I remember pulling up to Diamond Suite Verona on Via Antonio Zanella – it’s this unassuming street in the Borgo Roma neighborhood, you know, that southern bit of Verona where things feel more lived-in than touristy. Honestly, I was a bit skeptical at first; I’d just come from the chaos of the historic center, dodging crowds around the Arena di Verona, and here I was in what looks like a quiet residential spot near the Fiera exhibition grounds. But man, the check-in was a breeze – this friendly guy at the desk (I think his name was Marco) sorted everything in like five minutes, even hooked me up with a parking spot right out front, which is gold in Italy where street parking can be a nightmare. The building itself has that modern, clean vibe without trying too hard – think sleek lines and big windows that let in the afternoon sun, filtering through those plane trees lining the road. And the smell? Fresh linens mixed with a hint of espresso from the lobby machine – it immediately put me at ease after a long drive from Lake Garda.
What really won me over, though, was how the place balances comfort with those little thoughtful touches that make you feel like you’re staying with a savvy local friend. My suite – well, it was more like a spacious apartment, actually, with a kitchenette that came in handy for whipping up a quick pasta from the nearby Conad supermarket on Viale del Lavoro (pro tip: stock up there if you’re self-catering). The bed was ridiculously comfy, all crisp white sheets and pillows that don’t go flat, and the bathroom had this rainfall shower that steamed up the whole room with that herbal soap scent – perfect for unwinding after wandering the city. It’s not smack in the middle of things, mind you; you’re about a 20-minute walk or a short bus ride (the number 21 stops practically at the door) to Piazza Bra and Juliet’s House, which means it’s quieter at night – no rowdy tour groups echoing off ancient walls. But during fair season, like Vinitaly in spring, it gets busier with business folks, so book ahead if that’s your jam. Oh, and there’s free Wi-Fi that’s actually fast enough for streaming – I caught up on some shows without a glitch – though the air conditioning can be a tad noisy if you’re a light sleeper (nothing earplugs couldn’t fix).
Look, if you’re the type who wants Verona’s romance without the constant hustle, this place is a gem. It’s got that 4-star polish with a 9.5 rating that feels earned, not inflated – clean, welcoming, and strategically placed for day trips to the Adige River paths or even a quick hop to the train station at Porta Nuova for outings to Venice. Sure, it’s not overlooking the amphitheater, but that’s what keeps it affordable and authentic; I left feeling like I’d discovered a secret spot locals might keep to themselves. If you’re traveling solo or with a partner, especially off-peak when Verona’s quieter in fall, you’d be hard-pressed to find better value. Just pack light – the elevators are compact – and enjoy the vibe.

Jacuzzi is the highlight, room is also very spacious, chose it due to close to Verona fair which suits us, but not close to city centre
What could be improved: lack of amenities, only plastic glasses, no soap, no tissue, no kettle,no aircon control so that the host needs to turn on/off remotely which felt a bit weird.Vale97 from Italy – 18 February 2025 (9/10)
Hot tub and huge space

The Suite is incredibly beautiful. It is very elegant and modern. The Jacuzzi is perfectly located in the suite.
The bed was like a cloud and perfectly comfortable. The bathroom was beautiful with two sinks, one shower and one bidet.
We appreciated the free, awesome coffee and all of the clear guides and rules from the host. He communicated extensively with us the instructions to get inside, what he expected, and he was very reachable. I also accidentally broke a glass and he was very nice about it!
What could be improved: The location is not very easy I find and it was hard for us to understand where the garage was for our car.
The host was putting Italian through google translate and caused some language barriers regarding some of his instructions, which is okay though.
I wish there was also an option to turn normal lights on hahaYuanyuan from Australia – 3 October 2022 (9/10)

The whole thing, hot tub, modern fittings, mini bar, lights. The host was very accommodating and all the instructions for entry etc were very helpful.
What could be improved: The bed wasn't to our taste, a little uncomfortableOkereke from Italy – 29 December 2022 (4/10)
the jacuzzi
What could be improved: the heater was not working, the room was so cold , through i did not not ask about it. it’s winter now so the room should be warm 🤷♀️Kl from Singapore – 3 June 2022 (3/10)
Nothing
What could be improved: The property doesnt feel nice, its like an converted apartment with a jacuzzi in the middle, LED colourful lights everywhere, The ventilation was poor with a small single aircon cooling the entire place. Checking in was a very complicated process. unlock 1 door, unlock a key press, then enter another building and then a second door. Location was far out from the city.Ilaria from Italy – 23 February 2025 (9/10)
