The name translates to something like “dwelling of wonderful thought,” which sounds pretty lofty until you actually step inside and realize they’re not being pretentious at all – they just nailed it.

This isn’t your typical four-star setup where everything feels polished but soulless. The moment I walked through the entrance, I could tell someone actually cared about creating something special here. The restoration work is incredible – I mean, you can see they preserved all these gorgeous original details while making everything feel completely livable and comfortable for modern travelers. The rooms have this perfect balance where you feel like you’re staying somewhere with real character, but your phone charges properly and the wifi doesn’t make you want to throw things out the window. Actually, speaking of windows, mine overlooked this little courtyard where locals would chat in the evenings, and honestly, those conversations (even though my Italian is terrible) became part of the whole experience.

What really sets this place apart is how it sits in the neighborhood – you’re not stuck in some tourist bubble, but you’re also not completely lost trying to figure out where to grab coffee in the morning. The staff here actually knows the area, too, which makes such a difference. They pointed me toward this tiny bakery about two streets over that I never would have found otherwise, and it became my daily ritual. The check-in process was smooth, parking wasn’t the nightmare I expected (they actually help coordinate that), and the whole building stays surprisingly quiet even when it’s full. I was worried about noise since Italian hotels can be… well, lively, but the thick walls do their job. The rating of 9.8 seemed almost too good to be true when I booked, but after staying there, I get it. It’s not just about fancy amenities or perfect service – though both are solid – it’s about how the whole experience feels intentional and genuine. You leave feeling like you discovered something special rather than just checked another decent hotel off your list.

  Sehr gemütliche Wohnung, die keine Wünsche offen lässt. Sehr sauber. Ideal für 2 Pärchen oder eine 4 köpfige Familie. Problemloser kontaktloser Check-In und -out. Sehr freundliche, hilfsbereite und immer erreichbare Vermietung. Parken für 12 €/d (Sonntag frei) und Restaurants und Bars in direkter Nähe. Dort bekommt man z.B. auch eine Pizza zum Mitnehmen. Zu Fuß in die Innenstadt.

  Unkomplizierter Aufenthalt. Gut organisiert. Altstadt sehr gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Parkplätze in der nähe, 1 Euro pro Stunde, Sonntags frei. Nur Blaue, nicht blau-gelbe. Parkhaus in der Nähe.

  A large property, close to the historic district with plenty of room to spread out.

  The location was excellent, near the bridge to the center of the town. Really, top position. We would surely come once again. Apartment was something special. Very comfortable and large, beautifuly equipped.
