Hotel Description
You know, I stumbled upon Dimore Verona during a spontaneous trip to Italy last spring, and honestly, it turned out to be one of those hidden gems that make you feel like you’ve cracked the code on traveling like a local. I mean, it’s not your standard hotel setup—it’s more like a collection of apartments scattered around Verona’s historical center, which is brilliant if you want that lived-in vibe without the cookie-cutter feel. Check-in happens at this unassuming spot on Corso Castelvecchio, right by the old castle bridge over the Adige River. I remember pulling up in my rental car—parking’s a bit of a hassle in the center, but there’s a public lot just a five-minute walk away on Via Roma, and they give you tips on it when you arrive. The staff there were super chill, handing over keys and a map with handwritten notes on the best gelato spots nearby (try the one on Via Mazzini—pistachio that’ll ruin you for anything else). My place was a cozy two-bedroom on a quiet side street off Piazza delle Erbe, the kind of location where you wake up to the distant chime of church bells and the smell of fresh espresso wafting from the cafes below.
What really sold me on Dimore Verona was how it blends that old-world charm with just enough modern perks to keep things comfortable—think exposed brick walls and wooden beams that whisper stories from the Renaissance, paired with a sleek kitchenette where I whipped up pasta from ingredients grabbed at the market on Via Stella (pro tip: go early mornings in summer to beat the tourist crowds; it’s buzzing but not overwhelming). The apartments vary—mine had this tiny balcony overlooking a courtyard with blooming jasmine that scented the air at dusk, making evenings feel magical, especially after a day wandering to the Arena for an opera (it’s literally a 10-minute stroll, and if you’re there in July, snag tickets early because it gets packed). Noise-wise, it’s mostly peaceful, though you might hear the occasional Vespa zipping by at night—Verona’s got that lively hum, you know? And while the Wi-Fi was solid for streaming, the air conditioning could be a tad finicky in the older units; nothing a quick call to the front desk couldn’t sort out. Oh, and if you’re traveling with a group or family, these spots are gold—spacious enough to spread out, with laundry facilities that saved me from overpacking.
All in all, if you’re the type who wants to immerse yourself in Verona without the sterile hotel routine, Dimore Verona’s a solid choice—it’s got that 8.3 rating for a reason, blending authenticity with convenience in a way that feels earned. Sure, it’s not perfect (elevators are hit or miss in some buildings, so pack light if stairs aren’t your thing), but waking up steps from Juliet’s balcony or grabbing a spritz at a bar on Corso Porta Borsari made every moment worthwhile. I’d go back in a heartbeat, especially off-season in fall when the city’s quieter and the fog rolls in over the river—pure poetry. If Verona’s on your list, this place lets you live it, not just visit.

Dimore apartments were in the heart of Verona, very easy to access and with a good price. The staff was very friendly and helpful

The flat was amazing. Well organised, with all facilities I could ask for. Great kitchen, nice balcony. Amazing value for money.
The staff was very helpful, there were no issues at the check in and they let us leave our luggage for the afternoon after checkout.
Location was good, some 20 mins walking from the very centre. And there is a store very close.
What could be improved: We visited in January and the heating in one of the bedrooms could have been a little but stronger. But this was just a minor thing.
The living room would benefit from another sofa. The flat can house a lot of people but only 3 can sit on sofa/ armchair.Babek from Russia – 1 January 2025 (9/10)
the flat is big and comfy, you have all the amenities you need for a short stay. it is quite close to the historic centre
What could be improved: it would be better to pick up the keys at the flat itselfTjaša from Slovenia – 24 October 2024 (9/10)
Very close to city center and very nice building
What could be improved: Parking. We got parking card (which was amazing) but still had restriction on street parking so it was a challenge to find parking near the apartment (took us 1h). But it was not a problem with property, it is jutr the way Italy is in the city, a loooot of traffic 🙂Ian from Australia – 21 October 2024 (9/10)
A grea,t private quiet space. Exactly as described. office staff for check-in were very helpful.

The location was good, the apartment was nicely laid out and clean.
What could be improved: Nothing – everything about it was good.Caoimhin from United Kingdom – 14 October 2024 (8/10)
Location was great, we weren’t far from the arena and had beautiful views at our door step
What could be improved: Found it a bit hard to find after pick up the keys but all in it wasn’t to badBella from United States – 7 October 2024 (9/10)
Location, clean
What could be improved: Very little, mostly liked it very much. Few details that would contribute to more positive experience. The arrival was to the office, not the unit. Took a taxi from the station to the office, and then a taxi ride from the office to the unit. But I think the cost of a taxi from the point of arrival to the unit should have been included in the price or covered by the host.
Also, it would be nice to have a toaster and a larger, more than a one person coffee maker. The espresso maker was tiny, and had to wait to make a second cup( we were a couple). But that was minor inconvenience, did not have negative impact at all. Just a thought.
We enjoyed the init very much.Linda from Australia – 22 September 2024 (9/10)
The location was great with an easy walk to the supermarket, bars and restaurants.
What could be improved: The couch is very uncomfortable to sit on and the main window to the street had a shutter that could not be raised to let light in or open the window for fresh air. If these things were rectified it would be five stars from us.Acheé from Netherlands – 9 September 2024 (9/10)
Nice appartment in cosy student neighborhood (Univ.of Verona). Old city centre is only 10 min. by foot. With the city card of Dimore Verona you can park your car in the area for free.
What could be improved: Nothing
