I mean, when you hear “palace,” you’re expecting some massive, stuffy place where you’re afraid to touch anything, but this four-star spot has this unexpectedly warm, lived-in feeling that grew on me pretty quickly.

The whole “Italian Homing” part of the name actually makes perfect sense once you’re inside – it really does feel like staying at someone’s really well-appointed home rather than a typical hotel. The common areas have this authentic residential vibe with mismatched antique furniture that somehow works perfectly together, and I noticed guests actually lingering around chatting instead of just rushing through the lobby. The staff treats you more like a houseguest than a customer number, which I found refreshing after staying at some of those cookie-cutter chain places. Check-in was pleasantly unhurried – they actually took time to ask about what I was planning to see and gave me some solid local recommendations that weren’t just the usual tourist traps.

What really sold me on this place was the attention to those little details that make or break a stay. The rooms have this perfect balance of traditional Italian character (think exposed beams and terracotta tiles) without feeling like you’re sleeping in a museum. The beds are seriously comfortable – not too soft, not too firm – and the linens actually smell like they’ve been line-dried, which sounds like a small thing but makes such a difference. I also appreciated that the walls are thick enough that you’re not hearing every conversation from the hallway, something that’s become depressingly rare these days. The bathrooms are on the smaller side but well-designed, with decent water pressure and those little locally-made toiletries that you actually want to use. Honestly, with an 8.4 rating from other travelers, I wasn’t surprised to find that most people seem to have the same positive experience I did. The place strikes that sweet spot where it feels special enough for a memorable stay but comfortable enough that you’re not walking on eggshells the whole time.

  Absolutely beautiful room, great view, I didnt know how to turn the heating system on and then they helped me immediately and it got quickly cosy and warm!

  Wonderful atmospheric Venetian decor and location is brilliant. Beds very comfortable and loved the balcony ( on our apartment). Bathroom also was perfect.
  
  What could be improved: Very disappointed that no facility for even a cup of tea. Despite all of the other wonderful features we wouldn’t stay there again without any simple option for any hot drinks.

  The room is right in the center and is beautifully furnitured. The bed is very comfortable. The room has a balcony with a fantastic view!

  The property was beautiful & in such an amazing central location! I only wish I stayed longer here to experience Verona at a slower pace & soak in the Italian culture more. The restaurants below the accommodation are great! & the best gelato is also just downstairs. The shared dining area is gorgeous & everything you need is provided. The room was huge, beautiful view, comfy bedding, very clean & gorgeous Italian decor. I had such a lovely time here, thank you! 😊😊
