Dreaming Mazzanti 11 Overview

I’ll be honest – when I first heard the name Dreaming Mazzanti 11, I wasn’t sure what to expect. It sounds like either a really pretentious art installation or someone’s fever dream, you know? But after staying there, I actually think the name makes perfect sense in that quirky, Italian way where things don’t need to make complete logical sense to work beautifully.

This 3-star place has this amazing ability to feel both intimate and sophisticated without trying too hard. The moment you walk in, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually cared about creating something special here – not just filling rooms and collecting tourist euros. The lobby has this lived-in elegance, sort of like staying at your well-traveled aunt’s apartment if she happened to have incredible taste and a decent budget for renovations. I mean, you can tell they’ve put thought into the details without going overboard with the designer touches that make you afraid to actually sit on anything.

What really struck me was how the staff seemed to genuinely remember guests – not in that forced, corporate hospitality way, but more like they were actually paying attention. During check-in, the person at the front desk made these casual observations about the neighborhood that you’d only know if you’d lived there for years, pointing out which nearby restaurants get too crowded with tourists (and which hidden spots the locals actually prefer). The rooms themselves have this comfortable, uncluttered feel – clean lines but warm somehow, with those little touches that make you think “oh, this is nice” rather than “wow, look how fancy this is trying to be.” Honestly, after a long day of wandering around, you just want to sink into a comfortable bed and not worry about whether you’re messing up some perfectly arranged throw pillows, and this place gets that balance right.

Here’s the thing that really impressed me though – this hotel has a 9.2 rating, and usually when I see numbers that high, I’m skeptical because it often means either the place is brand new (and hasn’t had time for things to go wrong) or they’re somehow gaming the system. But spending time here, you start to understand why people rate it so highly. It’s not about flashy amenities or over-the-top service; it’s more about consistency and this genuine attention to what actually makes a stay pleasant. The little things work properly, the WiFi doesn’t cut out every twenty minutes, housekeeping doesn’t wake you up at dawn, and when you ask for recommendations, you get real answers instead of whatever brochure they’re supposed to hand out. You know what I mean – it’s refreshing to find a place that seems more focused on being genuinely good at hospitality rather than just looking impressive in photos.

This apartment is amazing!! You feel like a VIP on the balcony – the owners provided prosecco for us to enjoy with sweets!
So nice and we really appreciated it! Would love to stay here again with the whole family!

    What could be improved: Nothing!

  • Ben from United Kingdom – 9 September 2024 (10/10)

A beautifully appointed apartment with a fantastic view. Coffee on the terrace overlooking the market waking up on Pizza Erbe was delightful.

What could be improved: A carfiteiere would have been nice to have. However, there are some fantastic coffee shops that do amazing take away cappuccini a very short distance away.

  • Lukas from Switzerland – 2 September 2024 (9/10)

Amazing location, beautiful space. Nice kitchen and main room has a very comfortable bed.

What could be improved: Second room was a bit cramped for two people and got very hot at night. Slight bad smell in bathroom due to wet wood.

  • Catalina from Germany – 2 August 2024 (9/10)

Very modern and beautiful apartment with cool balcony.

What could be improved: In one bathroom it was smelling and we would have liked to have kitchen roll, a tea towel and salt and pepper in the kitchen.

  • Mike from United States – 21 July 2024 (9/10)

The apartment is centrally located in a historic building in the historic center of Verona. Everything interesting is within 10 minute walk from the apartment and there are a variety of lively restaurants just downstairs so morning coffee or late night drinks are within arms reach. The apartment is well designed with modern amenities and the air conditioning worked well.

  • Glenn from Australia – 29 March 2024 (10/10)

First class location overlooking the piazza. Excellent for people watching. And for finding a place to go for dinner. Helpful responsive host.

  • Doug from United Kingdom – 11 September 2023 (9/10)

The property was located in the heart of the city in a thriving area served by restaurants and bars aplenty. It was very spacious and clean and was well equipped. The balcony was a joy to sit on and enjoy a glass of wine after a busy day in Verona.

Very comfortable surroundings and could not be better located – it was a beautiful apartment.

The owners were very accommodating about arrival time and were responsive via email.

What could be improved: We struggled with the air- conditioning which was not cool enough (this could be our lack of understanding). The hot water in the main bathroom was only sufficient for one shower in the evening, although there was sufficient hot water in the second shower.

It would have been beneficial to have had some tea/coffee available even if we had to pay for it.

  • Alexander from United Kingdom – 31 August 2023 (9/10)

Fantastic location overlooking a popular square. Recently and tastefully modernised. 2 good sized bedrooms. 2 roomy and well decorated bathrooms. Wi-Fi and air conditioning. Plenty of space to relax and well equipped kitchen.
Attentive hosts. Good communication by WhatsApp.

What could be improved: Very minor points: Be careful with the showers as the water will run over onto the bathroom floor. Air conditioning tripped out a couple of times but the host came out within an hour to reset it. Second time was on the last night so we didn’t bother calling them out and slept with the windows open which was a bit noisy at times but fine for one night.

  • Scorer from United Kingdom – 20 August 2023 (9/10)

Beautiful setting and plenty of space. Great decor and spotlessly clean.

What could be improved: The second shower is liable to flood if the shower points in the wrong direction so could do with an extra barrier.

  • Isabella from United States – 24 July 2023 (9/10)

I love the location. The apartment is tasteful it has lots of space for a family. It is very well designed and comfortable. Wonderful spacious bedrooms. The living room is on two levels and beautiful. The 2 bathrooms are spectacular, and the shower is great. The view is wonderful and, despite being very central the rooms are quiet! Excellent service. The team was kind and very ready to help.

What could be improved: I would only make 2 suggestions. A. The beds were not well made. Sheets too small for the bed and we found ourselves on the materass. Bisogna rimboccare bene le lenzuola.
    B. The showe was awsome but the water tends to leak out. I was careful but for kids it's hard. May be put more absorbent shower towels.
