You know what, I wasn’t expecting much when I first walked into Dreaming Suite – honestly, the name sounds a bit cheesy, and with three stars, I figured it would be pretty basic. But sometimes you get pleasantly surprised, and this place actually has more character than you’d think at first glance.

The thing about this hotel is that it sits in that sweet spot where you’re getting solid value without any pretense. I mean, sure, it’s not going to blow you away with fancy marble lobbies or those oversized flower arrangements that cost more than most people’s rent, but there’s something refreshingly honest about the whole operation. The rooms are clean and thoughtfully laid out – whoever designed them actually seemed to consider that real people need places to put their stuff and don’t want to bump into furniture every time they get up to use the bathroom. The beds are surprisingly comfortable too, which honestly matters more than most of the flashy extras you get at pricier places.

What I really appreciated was how the staff seemed to genuinely care about making sure things worked smoothly. Check-in was quick (no standing around while they tried to upsell me on room upgrades I didn’t need), and when I had a question about getting around the area, the front desk person actually pulled out a real map and marked a few spots that weren’t just the obvious tourist traps. You can tell when people are just going through the motions versus when they’re actually trying to be helpful. The whole place has this unpretentious vibe – it’s like they know exactly what they are and they’re comfortable with that, which I find way more appealing than places that are trying too hard to be something they’re not. Sure, the 7.0 rating tells you it’s not perfect, and you’ll probably notice a few things that could be updated, but for what you’re paying, those minor quirks feel pretty reasonable. If you’re the type of traveler who cares more about having a comfortable, clean place to sleep than impressing your Instagram followers, Dreaming Suite delivers exactly what it promises without any of the usual hospitality industry nonsense.

  Superb location, yards from The Arena and a short stroll to great bars and restaurants, including being next-door to a superb pizzeria. Very good bus connections.

  Excellent location, room size, silent environment through nights, a very comfortable bed and quality of the air condition.
  
  What could be improved: We have not been met a staff face to face during our holiday, even at check-in or check-out.
  
  The building door was being open most of the time and our room was easily reachable. This made we us feel kind of insecure although the calmness of the city's environment.

  What could be improved: The boiler didn't seem to talk to the shower, so the hot water ran out after a few minutes, yet I could get hot water from the kitchen tap.
  The shower fixture was missing so that even at 5'3", I had to limbo to wash my hair.
  The TV needs tuning so you can see the picture. Every channel currently has a message saying HD is not enabled.
  A kettle and tea towel would be helpful additions (fortunately, I had brought my own)
  Brilliant location for me, but wouldn't recommend to those sensitive to noise, as the neighbours' plumbing woke me up several times, as did roaring motorbikes in the wee small hours.

  My last two nights in Italy were in Verona — a perfect place to end my vacation. Dreaming Suite is in a perfect location. Imagine walking out the front door, turn to your right and have the Verona Arena right in front of you! The room itself was very comfortable and a great space to rest after a day of walking around beautiful Verona.
  
  What could be improved: I had some issues with the keys at first but the alternative solution was actually better once I received guidance from the host.
