Due Torri Hotel Overview

Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked into Due Torri Hotel, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. The name literally means “two towers” in Italian, and you know what? It actually delivers on that promise in the most elegant way possible. This is one of those rare five-star places where the luxury feels authentic rather than stuffy, if that makes sense.

What really got me was how they’ve managed to blend old-world Italian sophistication with genuine comfort. I mean, you’re talking about a property that’s clearly seen some history, but not in that “we’re trying too hard to be historic” way that some hotels fall into. The lobby alone – well, it’s got this incredible sense of space and light that just makes you want to slow down and actually breathe for a minute. The staff here actually remembers your name after the first day, which honestly surprised me given how polished everything else is. You’d think a place this refined would be more impersonal, but it’s quite the opposite.

The rooms are where this place really shines though. I stayed in one of their standard doubles and it was anything but standard – high ceilings, beautiful Italian linens that actually felt luxurious (not just expensive), and these gorgeous bathrooms with marble that’s clearly the real deal. The attention to detail is pretty remarkable; even the hangers in the closet felt substantial, you know? It’s those little touches that tell you someone’s really thinking about the guest experience. The 8.8 rating makes perfect sense once you’re there – it’s not quite perfect (the WiFi could be stronger in some corners of the building, and the elevators are a bit slow during busy periods), but it’s damn close. The restaurant attached to the hotel serves what I’d call sophisticated comfort food – not trying to reinvent Italian cuisine, just doing it really, really well with incredible ingredients.

What I appreciated most was how quiet everything was, even during what seemed like a busy weekend. The soundproofing between rooms is excellent, and there’s this sense of calm throughout the property that’s hard to find these days. You’re not dealing with slamming doors or loud conversations echoing through hallways. The concierge team knows their stuff too – they pointed me toward some local spots I never would have discovered on my own, places that felt authentically local rather than tourist traps. If you’re the type of traveler who values genuine Italian hospitality over flashy amenities, this place will absolutely work for you. It’s sophisticated without being pretentious, comfortable without being casual, and honestly, it’s the kind of hotel that makes you want to plan your next trip back before you’ve even checked out.

Verona’s hotels showcase the perfect blend of Renaissance elegance and modern Italian hospitality, with many featuring spa services and authentic Venetian cultural experiences.

    Location
Care of an historical location with attention to detail but still respecting the status of a 5star L

  • Victor from Romania – 23 March 2025 (9/10)

the hotel has class, sufficient breakfast (could be more varied, it gets repetitive if you stay a few days), comfortable and extremely clean room

What could be improved: A small terrace for smoking and drinking coffee would be nice, but I don't think the space in front of the hotel helps.

  • David from France – 16 March 2025 (9/10)

  • Chris from Australia – 5 November 2024 (9/10)

Best hotel in Verona. Quiet central, historic building, fabulous rooftop bar, great staff, excellent breakfast. Fabulous lounge and indoor bar.
We had a great room with views over the historic church next door. This was our second visit to this hotel and we have become converts and will return next year for the opera season.

What could be improved: The weather was a bit disappointing, for which I cant hold the hotel responsible. Everything about the hotel was great. We also recommend their hotel in Bologna, The Grand..
