Look, I’ll be honest with you – when I first heard about Elsa, I wasn’t expecting much. The name made me think of some quirky boutique place, maybe a bit too themed for my taste. But honestly? This place completely surprised me in the best way possible. That 9.7 rating isn’t just some inflated number – it’s actually earned, and I mean that.

What struck me right away was how the staff genuinely seemed to care about getting things right. You know that feeling when you walk into a place and immediately sense whether people are just going through the motions? Well, here it’s the opposite. The check-in was smooth (no awkward waiting around), and they actually remembered little details from our conversation later in the week. I’m talking about the kind of service where they’ll casually mention the weather forecast when you’re heading out, or suggest the quieter entrance when you’re coming back late. It’s those small touches that honestly make such a difference when you’re trying to unwind.

The rooms themselves – and this might sound weird – but they just feel right. Not overly designed or trying too hard, but thoughtfully put together. Good lighting for actually reading, decent water pressure (thank god), and the kind of beds where you don’t wake up with a crick in your neck. I mean, the basics done really well, plus some unexpected touches that show someone was actually thinking about how people live in these spaces. The soundproofing is solid too, which matters more than you’d think. Even when there were other guests around, it stayed peaceful. What really got me was the attention to practical stuff – enough outlets where you actually need them, proper hangers in the closet, that sort of thing. You’d be amazed how many places mess up these simple details.

The whole atmosphere just works somehow. It’s relaxed without being sloppy, welcoming without being overwhelming. I found myself actually looking forward to coming back each evening, which honestly doesn’t happen that often when I’m traveling. Whether you’re there for business or just getting away, it’s the kind of place that adapts to what you need rather than forcing you into some predetermined experience. Plus, and this might sound random, but the morning coffee situation is genuinely good – not just “hotel coffee good,” but actually good coffee. Trust me, after a week of testing it, I can vouch for this.

  Lovely clean and spacious apartment. 3 bed with 2 double beds, and 2 signed beds. Very airy with all mod cons and Angela was so lovely to us. About a 15 min walk to Piazza Elbe and 20 to the Arena. Good location and very quiet neighborhood.
