You know what really struck me about Eufemia27? It’s one of those places that completely defies your expectations based on the name alone. I mean, when I first saw “Eufemia27” on my booking confirmation, I honestly had no idea what to picture – but this 4-star gem turned out to be exactly the kind of find you stumble across and then guard like a secret.

The moment you walk in, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually cares about this place. It’s not huge or flashy, but everything feels intentional – from the way the lighting hits the lobby in the late afternoon to how the staff genuinely remembers your name after one night. I’ve stayed at plenty of hotels with that cookie-cutter feeling, but this one has real personality. The rooms are thoughtfully designed too, with those little touches that make you think “oh, someone who actually travels designed this.” The bathroom setup is particularly smart – plenty of counter space and hooks where you actually need them, plus the shower pressure is honestly better than what I have at home.

What really sets this place apart though is the attention to detail that you only notice after you’ve been there a day or two. The housekeeping is impeccable (and I’m pretty picky about that), the Wi-Fi actually works everywhere – even in the elevator, which is sort of rare – and they’ve somehow managed to soundproof things well enough that you’re not hearing every footstep in the hallway at 6 AM. I was there during what seemed like a busy period, but you’d never know it from the noise level. The whole operation just runs smoothly without feeling sterile or overly corporate. Plus, with a 9.4 rating, I’m clearly not the only one who’s noticed – though honestly, I’m almost hesitant to spread the word because places like this tend to book up fast once people catch on. If you’re looking for somewhere that feels more like a well-kept local secret than a typical hotel experience, this is definitely worth checking out.

  Although we never met, Matteo the host sent welcoming and helpful messages. The stylish ground floor apartment in a traditional building was large, comfortable and quiet with very comfortable bed and excellent facilities. Location was great – close to old city sights of Verona but also near the river and bridges for orientation. There was an Osteria and cafe 30 metres away and many more a short walk away. Great value for a few days in Verona.
  
  What could be improved: Nothing we did not already know – such as no outside space to sit in and not much daylight. But this is to be expected in traditional buildings in narrow streets.

  The apartment was perfect for our 2 night stay. It had plenty of space and everything we needed. The location was perfect – quiet but very close to the main centre. The host Matteo was very kind and helpful with check in. We will definitely be recommending this apartment to our friends and can’t wait to come back.

  Location was excellent for the major tourist attractions of Verona.
  Facilities offered were generally very good. Could have benefited from a room safe (although window guards on ground floor apartment were good (although not on bathroom window) and apartment door lock appeared very secure).
  Again could have benefited from better lighting in the internal hallway (as at night, difficult to see the door key lock easily).

  Absolutely beautiful apartment. Excellent communication from host. Clear instructions on how to get to apartment from train station with bus numbers etc. Apartment was very clean, lovely equipped kitchen.
