It’s one of those small touches that you don’t realize you’re missing until you find it again. The rooms themselves have this lived-in comfort that’s hard to fake; real wooden furniture that’s been cared for rather than just assembled from a catalog, and honestly, the beds are way better than you’d expect for a 3-star place. I slept like a rock every single night.

Here’s the thing about staying at places like Fiorello’s House – you’re not paying for marble lobbies or infinity pools, but you’re getting something that’s actually harder to find these days: authentic hospitality and attention to detail. The breakfast setup (which runs until a very reasonable 10 AM, thank goodness) feels more like a family gathering than a hotel buffet line. They’ve got local pastries that change based on what’s seasonal, and the coffee is strong enough to actually wake you up. Parking was never an issue when I was there, which is honestly a relief because nothing ruins a good trip like circling blocks looking for a spot. The neighborhood itself is pretty quiet – I’m talking genuinely peaceful evenings where you can actually open your windows without worrying about street noise keeping you up. Sure, the decor isn’t going to win any design awards, and the WiFi can be a bit spotty in some corners of the building, but these feel like minor trade-offs when everything else works so smoothly. If you’re the type of traveler who values genuine character over glossy amenities, and you want to feel like you’ve discovered something real rather than just booked another generic room, this place is absolutely worth considering.

  The location of the apartment is very good, 15 minutes footwalk to the main station (Verona Porta Nuova) and a 30 minutes footwalk to the city centre (Arena di Verona). The host is a very nice guy who gives a good overview about the apartment and also recommendations for good restaurants and supermarkets in the area. The apartment is very comfortable.
  
  What could be improved: There is nothing to mention here. The apartment met my expectations. I would fully recommend it.

  Fiorello met us in the apartment and showed us everything. Really nice host. The apartment has everything you need and is really spacious. Nice feel to it – home away from home. Smart tv with Netflix available, washing machine, drying rack, balcony, fresh coffee, … very well equipped.
  
  What could be improved: The walls are paper thin! Had to sleep with ear plugs as you can hear everything so loud from other apartments. The location is not the best -located about 30 mins from the centre, not near any shops or restaurants but we should have checked that better.

  Lovely apartment in a beautiful city, close to supermarket and bus stop- 20 min walk to train and local bus station, 10 min walk to long distance bus stop.
  Great facilities and Fiorello was a really helpful .

  Communcation upfront was excellent. Fiorello met us at the apartment and welcomed us friendly with all the explanation we needed. The apartment has everything we needed, even an iron board, iron, washing machine, full kitchen, internet, comfy large beds and a well working air-condition. The apartment is conveniently located on the ground floor and we even found a parking spot free of charge on the street where we stayed the whole weekend. I also like the area which was close to our friends and the stadium where is a flee market each Saturday. The walk into the old town was about half an hour and our stay was very enjoyable! Would definitely come again!
