You know what caught me off guard about Flats4Rent Irene? It’s one of those places that manages to feel completely homey while still giving you that “I’m somewhere special” vibe. I mean, with a solid 8.7 rating, I went in with decent expectations, but honestly – this four-star setup delivered way more personality than I was anticipating from what sounds like a pretty straightforward apartment rental situation.

The thing is, when you’re dealing with flats rather than traditional hotel rooms, you’re basically gambling on whether you’ll get that sterile, nobody-lives-here feeling or something that actually feels lived-in and comfortable. Irene’s place falls firmly in the latter category, and I think that’s what makes the difference here. The space has this naturally worn-in quality – not shabby, just… real, you know? Like someone actually thought about how you’d move through the rooms, where you’d want to sit with your morning coffee, that sort of thing. The kitchen setup is particularly thoughtful (and trust me, I’ve stayed in plenty of “fully equipped” kitchens that were basically useless). Here, you’ve got proper counter space and everything you’d actually need if you wanted to grab groceries and cook something decent instead of eating out every meal.

What really won me over, though, was how quiet it stays even when the area gets busy. I was there during what seemed like a pretty active time, and honestly, I slept better than I do at home most nights. The whole building just feels solid in that way that newer constructions sometimes don’t – you’re not hearing every footstep from upstairs or wondering what that weird rattling is every time someone closes a door down the hall. And the check-in process? Actually painless, which I know sounds like a low bar, but you’d be surprised how many places manage to overcomplicate something that basic. They’ve clearly figured out the logistics of the rental side without making it feel impersonal or rushed. I’d definitely come back – actually, I’m sort of already planning my next trip around availability here, which probably tells you everything you need to know about whether this place gets the fundamentals right.

  Disponibilissimi per informazioni varie, hanno fatto trovare un libro con tutte le informazioni utili per muoversi nella casa e in città.

  Great location, close walking distance to main attractions. Spacious, clean and comfortable. Really appreciated the washing machine after weeks of travel! Fast internet and aircon in each rooms.

  What could be improved: A small balcony and extra toilet but this is unfair as we knew the apartment didn’t have these when we booked and the facilities we got were excellent for the price.

  1. The location is great as we wanted a place a bit outside of the business of the city center. It also has a great bar, a great gelateria and great restaurants nearby.
  2. The place is well equipped with pots, pans, and dinnerware.
  3. The place looks just like the pictures and is quite spacious.
  
  What could be improved: 1. The key pick-up. It should be at the apartment. Even if the location was given to us (and not hard to find with google maps), the place to pick up the key is far from the apartment. When you have a lot of suitcases plus a stroller / toddler, this really added stress to the process.
  2. The towel heater in the apartment is not in a good state. It is rusty and not clean.
  3. This is more a "nice to have" and I understand that not all apartments have it, but it would have been nice to have the option to have at least a baby crib (a pack and play is literally 50 euros and all other places of our month-long trip had at least a crib and most also offered a baby bathtub and a high chair..).
