Flats4rent Palazzo Poste Overview
You know what really caught me off guard about Flats4rent Palazzo Poste? The name sounds almost corporate, but when you actually step inside, it feels like you’ve stumbled into someone’s incredibly well-curated family palazzo that they’ve decided to share with the world. I mean, that 9.8 rating isn’t just numbers on a screen – you can feel it the moment you walk through those heavy wooden doors.
The apartments here are honestly something special, and I say that as someone who’s stayed in plenty of places that promise “authentic Italian living” but deliver IKEA furniture with questionable WiFi. These spaces actually deliver on that promise, though – think original frescoed ceilings (yes, actual frescoes), marble floors that have this beautiful worn patina from centuries of footsteps, and windows that frame views you’ll find yourself photographing at different times of day because the light just keeps changing. The kitchens are properly equipped too, which matters if you’re like me and can’t resist bringing back ingredients from the local markets. There’s something deeply satisfying about making your morning coffee with a proper Italian moka pot while standing in what was probably some noble family’s breakfast room two hundred years ago.
What I really appreciate – and this might sound like a small thing, but it’s not – is how quiet these places are. You’re in the heart of everything, but the thick walls and strategic positioning mean you’re not dealing with scooter engines revving at 6 AM or tourists stumbling back from dinner at midnight. The staff actually knows the neighborhood too, which is rarer than you’d think. They’ll tell you which bakery opens earliest (crucial information), where to find parking that won’t cost you a fortune, and honestly, they seem genuinely invested in making sure you have a good time rather than just checking you in and disappearing. I had a minor issue with the heating during my stay – nothing dramatic, just needed some adjusting – and they had someone up within twenty minutes who not only fixed it but also showed me how to work the somewhat temperamental shutters. It’s that kind of place where the details matter, and somehow, they’ve managed to maintain that personal touch even though they’re clearly running a professional operation. If you’re the type of traveler who wants to feel like you’re actually living somewhere rather than just passing through, this is exactly what you’re looking for.

Phil from Belgium – 4 March 2025 (9/10)
Bel appartement situé dans l'ancien palais des postes magnifiquement rénové. Très bien situé proche du centre mais cependant très calme, parfait pour visiter la ville. Un point à savoir est que la deuxième chambre est située dans une mezzanine au-dessus du salon.
