Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places over the years, but Fontanelle Apartment with View genuinely caught me off guard – and I mean that in the best possible way. When you see a 9.8 rating, you sort of expect it to be inflated or maybe just a couple of glowing reviews from friends, but honestly? This place actually lives up to the hype.

The first thing that hits you when you walk in is how much thought went into the details. I mean, someone clearly spent time making this feel like a real home rather than just another rental property. The view – which, let’s be honest, is probably why you’re considering this place – doesn’t disappoint. I found myself making coffee in the morning just to have an excuse to stand by those windows for an extra ten minutes. The light changes throughout the day in ways that make you want to take way too many photos, though none of them quite capture what you’re actually seeing.

What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets, especially in the evenings. You know how some places look great online but then you’re dealing with street noise or paper-thin walls? Not an issue here. The apartment itself has this lived-in comfort that’s hard to fake – the kind of place where you can actually spread out your stuff and not feel like you’re camping in someone else’s space. The kitchen is properly equipped too, which matters if you’re staying more than a night or two. I actually cooked a proper meal there, something I rarely bother with when I’m traveling, but the setup just invited it.

The check-in process was refreshingly straightforward – no awkward key exchanges or complicated instructions. Everything just worked the way it should, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how often that’s not the case. Storage space was generous (I’m someone who tends to overpack), and the wifi was solid throughout, which I definitely needed for some work calls. The bathroom setup is modern without being sterile, and the water pressure is excellent – one of those small things that can make or break your day, honestly. I’d definitely come back here, and I’m pretty picky about repeat stays. If you’re looking for somewhere that feels authentic rather than just Instagrammable, this is worth booking.

  The apartment was in a great location, close to lots of cafes, restaurants and sightseeing but also out of the busy city centre so it was nice and quiet in the evenings. The apartment was exceptionally clean, comfortable and had everything we needed during our stay. Filippo, the apartment host, was super helpful – he stored our luggage for us as we arrived early in the morning, and gave us a great list of restaurant recommendations. Overall this was a great stay, really good value for money and we would absolutely recommend this apartment for anyone visiting Verona!

  We liked everything: the location , how nice the whole apartment was, how nice and attentive Filippo was with his great tips about parking and dining ,the view from the windows, the serene atmosphere from the building and the fact that we got to stay in an very nicely renewed, old building 100m( or even less) from the beautiful Ponte Pietra and Antique Theater etc.

  very nice host, and a great spot to walk to the center of Verona.
  the apartment is really Beautiful and both beds are very comfortable. the upper bedroom is very big, and you have a beautiful view on the roofs of Verona.

  Filippo was the perfect host, helping me from start to finish with the whole process from: double checking my arrival time, offering support in transport, allowing me to drop off my luggage earlier, plus giving a detailed list of recommendations. He also got in touch part way through my stay to see if everything was OK, which I thought was a lovely touch.
  
  Now for the part everyone wants to know about…the apartment.
  
  It was gorgeous!! The photos online don't do it justice, it's super light, spacious, spotless, and has everything you could need for a week/weekend away. Amazing location, only a short walk into the town (5 mins) where its set in a lovely little area over the bridge where you don't have the noise from the city – perfect!
  
  I was a women travelling solo and can say I felt really safe and secure, where I didn't mind walking to and from the apartment alone.
  
  Highly recommend, where I will 100% be returning myself.
  
  What could be improved: Nothing!
  
  The only thing I would point out and it's more for anyone with mobility issues, the apartment is on the third floor. I personally was OK with this, however can't speak for everyone.
