Hotel Description
I remember pulling up to Forum Suites on Via Fratelli Cairoli – you know, that narrow street right in the heart of Verona’s historical center, just a stone’s throw from the bustling Corso Porta Borsari. It’s one of those spots where you’re dodging Vespas and tourists with gelato cones, but honestly, that’s part of the charm. I arrived in the late afternoon during a mild October, when the air still has that crisp edge from the nearby Adige River, and the check-in was a breeze – no fuss, just a friendly local guy at the desk who chatted about the best time to hit the Arena di Verona (early morning, he said, to beat the crowds). The building itself is this understated 4-star gem, sort of tucked away in a renovated old structure with those classic Verona stone facades. My room? Cozy – I mean, not massive, but with these high ceilings and soft, linen sheets that smelled faintly of lavender. Oh, and the bathroom had one of those rain showers that actually works, not the dribbly kind you get in some places. Parking’s a bit of a hassle here, though – historical center rules mean you’ll probably need to stash your car in one of the nearby garages like the one on Via Valverde, which isn’t cheap, but hey, who drives in Verona anyway?
What really sold me on Forum Suites was how it feels like a secret base for exploring the city. You’re literally steps from Piazza delle Erbe – I wandered over there my first evening, grabbing an aperitivo at one of those outdoor cafes where the locals sip spritzes and the market stalls are packing up with the scent of fresh herbs and cheese lingering in the air. The hotel’s suites are well-kitted out, with these little kitchenettes that came in handy for brewing my own espresso (stronger than the watered-down stuff at tourist traps). Breakfast was a highlight – served in this bright courtyard area, with croissants that flake just right and prosciutto from local producers. It’s not overly fancy, but thoughtful, you know? Like, they have bikes you can borrow to zip along the river paths, which I did one morning, feeling the cool breeze off the water. Noise-wise, it can get a tad lively at night from the street below – especially on weekends when folks are spilling out from the bars on Via Mazzini – but the double-glazed windows muffled it enough that I slept like a log. And if you’re into history, well, Juliet’s House is a quick 5-minute stroll away; I popped in during a quiet hour and avoided the usual mob scene.
All in all, if you’re heading to Verona and want somewhere that feels authentic without trying too hard, Forum Suites is a winner – that 9.3 rating isn’t hype. I stayed for three nights and left wishing for more, especially after discovering the hidden gelateria around the corner on Via Cappello that does the creamiest pistachio. It’s perfect for couples or solo travelers who appreciate the little things, like waking up to church bells from the nearby Duomo. Sure, it’s not the cheapest, but for the location and that homey vibe, it’s worth it. Next time I’m in town for the opera season, this is where I’ll crash – no question.

Reviews
Perfect location for our stay – Helene from United Kingdom – 11 July 2025 (8/10)
Location could not be better – a stones throw from everything. The communication was great from the hosts and the entry code system worked well. They were super helpful and let us store luggage in the basement on our check-out day.
We were in the room on the top floor with the hot tub. The stairs, especially with luggage, are a workout which is fine for us but definitely a consideration. It is a sliver of a room – compact urban living. Overall it was a great base for us to explore Verona.
What could be improved: The room was modern, stylish and well designed but not spacious – not much daylight. We had no hot water for our first two showers but this was resolved and the host was super helpful.
We were excited about the hot tub. The views are special but the experience was impacted by being surrounded by the air con outlets and so much chlorine our eyes were burning from the fumes.Fantastic property, excellent location, would 100% recommend! – Isabelle from United Kingdom – 10 July 2025 (9/10)
Amazing rooftop with lovely view of surroundings, decorated to a high spec.
What could be improved: Can’t be helped but the no lift and narrow stairs was a struggle to the top floor but we knew that when we booked !Great location. Great room. Great hot tub – Alan from United States – 6 July 2025 (9/10)
Location could not have been better
The suite with the hot tub was breathtaking at night as a way to refresh , have a glass of wine , and see some of the best landmarks in Verona at the same time
What could be improved: Being on the top floor with no elevator was a choice but tough when bringing the bags up , so if you are staying a few days it’s really just a 1-time annoyancePerfect in every manner – location, spaciousness, design, communication and storage. – Olga from Australia – 6 July 2025 (10/10)
The apartment is in the most perfect location – very easy to find and close to all attractions. The room has everything you need and is nicely designed. We particularly liked the fact that we could store our bags before and after our stay.
Great location – Zeina from Lebanon – 1 July 2025 (8/10)
Great location on Piazza Erbe, where a local market pops up and easy access to all the town's top locations, 5 minute walk from the bus drop off. They have storage for luggage where you can leave your bag after check out which was very accommodating. Rooms was spacious, clean and well decorated with a cute little balcony
What could be improved: stairs are too tight and difficult to carry luggage up the stairs.
The rooms don't have a lock from the inside, which makes you feel a bit uneasy being a solo traveler although the door would not open from the outside without the code.Exceptional – Jackson from United States – 28 June 2025 (10/10)
Location was top tier and the room was amazing
What could be improved: No elevator was rough with bags, but the location made up for itExcellent Location and exceptional property. – Beth from United States – 27 June 2025 (10/10)
Great location, room was big, clean and good design.
What could be improved: N/AFabulous location – Adam from Australia – 12 June 2025 (9/10)
Fantastic location, walkable from train station, safe and secure, easy keyless access, nice and clean, comfortable bed. A few steps to the room but we knew this when we booked, nothing too strenuous.
Very good – David from United Kingdom – 10 June 2025 (8/10)
Location
What could be improved: For the money the rooms are small but the location made up for thatAmazing room in great location the roof terrace is worth paying for. – Andy from United Kingdom – 6 June 2025 (9/10)
Roof terrace with hot tub was amazing, facilities in room small fridge and coffee machine. Amazing communication prior and during the stay.
What could be improved: Air con wasn’t working on arrival but host came back out when contacted and re-set. Would have been 10/10 without this issue.
