gaetanotrezza14 Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to gaetanotrezza14 on Via Gaetano Trezza, you might wonder if you’ve got the right address — it doesn’t scream “hotel” from the outside. This three-star property feels more like staying at a well-appointed local residence, which honestly is part of its charm. The building blends seamlessly into the residential neighborhood, and that’s actually what makes it special. You’re not in some touristy bubble here; you’re living like a Veronese local for a few days.

Location & Neighborhood

Here’s what I love about this spot in Verona — you’re in a genuine residential area that still puts you within easy reach of everything that matters. The location score of 9.2 isn’t just marketing fluff; couples consistently rate it 8.5, and I get why. You can walk to the historic center without feeling like you’re staying in the middle of a tourist circus. The neighborhood has that authentic Italian feel where locals are going about their daily business, grabbing coffee at the corner bar, chatting with neighbors. It’s the kind of area where you’ll actually want to explore on foot rather than just pass through.

The Space

The room setup here is refreshingly straightforward — no unnecessary frills, but everything you actually need is thoughtfully provided. What struck me most was how the space feels lived-in rather than sterile. The furnishings are comfortable without trying too hard, and there’s enough storage that you can actually unpack and settle in. The windows let in plenty of natural light, which makes the space feel larger than it probably is. You know what? Sometimes simple done well beats fancy done poorly, and that’s exactly what you get here.

Daily Rhythms

Mornings here have this lovely, unhurried quality. You’re not fighting crowds to get your coffee or navigating through tour groups to start your day. The surrounding streets come alive gradually — you’ll hear the neighborhood bakery opening, locals heading to work, the gentle hum of a city waking up. It’s particularly nice if you’re the type who likes to ease into your day rather than hit the ground running. The area has several authentic cafes within a short walk, so you can grab your cappuccino and cornetto like a proper Italian.

Why Guests Love It

What keeps people coming back to gaetanotrezza14 isn’t any single standout feature — it’s how everything works together to create a genuinely pleasant stay. The 8.6 rating reflects what you’d expect: solid comfort, great location, and that intangible feeling of being somewhere real rather than manufactured for tourists. Couples especially seem to appreciate the quieter vibe and the fact that you can actually have a conversation on the street without shouting over crowds. It’s the kind of place where you’ll find yourself planning your next Verona trip before you’ve even checked out.

  • Pault from Australia – 3 September 2024 (9/10)

Beautiful new bathroom and comfortable otherwise. Close-ish to arena and other sights. Robyz bar nearby was a handy stop for refreshment. Closed on Sunday though. Opera at the Arena was a treat.

What could be improved: Was. A little out out by communication with the property. You really need internet to get in. We didn’t have it and had to ring for access. That was awkward.

  • Laura from United States – 23 June 2024 (9/10)

The location was excellent. A short walk to the bridges to cross into the city center. Quiet neighborhood, spacious, comfortable room. Kitchen has good stock of appliances, dishes and utensils. I'd happily stay there again.

What could be improved: It would have been nice if the remote key to enter the main door had worked upon arrival. Stressful to have to make a phone call and be told that it would take an hour for someone to arrive to open it. Luckily, a tenant in the building was willing to buzz me in so I didn't have that delay.
Also, though it was not exceptionally hot, I could not get the air conditioner to turn on after the first day. Not a huge inconvenience but it could be when the weather gets hotter.

  • Kevin from Germany – 31 March 2024 (9/10)

    Central location, clean, kitchen included

What could be improved: Two single beds pushed together as double bed; no luggage storage

  • Matthew from Australia – 7 November 2023 (8/10)

    Close to city, east walk

  • Ruth from Ireland – 17 September 2023 (9/10)

Apartment was comfortable and well- equipped, in a nice relaxed location about 10 minutes walk from historic centre. Staff responded quickly to any requests.

What could be improved: I was generally happy that the apartment was well thought out and equipped. Very suitable for 1/2 people.

  • Karen from South Africa – 3 May 2023 (8/10)

it was central and well equipped although very cold floors

What could be improved: the fact that I did not have wifi to open the door and I let them know, they would open for me. Nobody opened and the number that was given on the booking printout was invalid. I went to a restaurant nearby, they also tried with no success

  • Dominique from France – 8 July 2022 (9/10)

it was clean, great location and very comfortable.

What could be improved: it was hard to communicate with the company, but they answered phone calls promptly.

  • Nk from United Kingdom – 3 July 2022 (8/10)

The location of this apartment is unbeatable – a 15-20 minute walk from the centre and all city attractions.
It's spacious and has an aircon right above the bed which was a must in the summer heat. The bathroom is very comfortable and there is plenty of closet and storage space. There are two mirrors in the bedroom and a large table next to the window that make it easy to get dressed and ready for the day in the mornings.

What could be improved: The bed was quite uncomfortable – it's two separate mattresses that kept sliding down and separating, leaving a big gap in the middle of the bed. The pillows (one per person) are very very thin and for someone used to sleeping with a thick memory foam one, it was hard to fall asleep.
Also, every morning I got woken up by the sounds of loud children playing – right outside the window is a playground that can be heard even with the windows shut.
