Here’s what I love about this spot — you can literally walk to everything that matters in Verona. The famous Arena is just a few minutes on foot, and honestly, you’ll find yourself strolling past centuries-old buildings just to grab coffee in the morning. Couples absolutely rave about this location (they’ve given it a perfect 10), and after spending time here, I totally get why. You’re close enough to feel the pulse of the city, but the street itself doesn’t get overwhelmingly touristy. Plus, and this is huge for Italy, they actually have free private parking on-site — you know how rare that is in a historic city center?

The Apartment Experience

What sets Garden Apartment apart is exactly what the name suggests — you’re getting an apartment-style experience rather than a traditional hotel room setup. The spaces feel genuinely livable, with enough room to spread out and settle in properly. I particularly appreciated having a proper kitchen area; it means you can grab fresh ingredients from the local markets (there are some fantastic ones nearby) and actually use them. The decor strikes that sweet spot between modern comfort and respecting the building’s Italian heritage.

Neighborhood Charm

Corso Porta Nuova itself is one of those streets that gives you a real taste of how Veronese people actually live. You’ll see locals heading to work in the morning, kids walking to school, and that authentic Italian rhythm that tourist areas sometimes lack. There’s a great little bakery about two blocks down that locals frequent — the kind of place where pointing and smiling gets you exactly what you need. The evening passeggiata (that lovely Italian tradition of the evening stroll) happens right outside your door, so you can either join in or just watch the world go by from your window.

  The Hosts were most accommodating with arrangements to drop off luggage early. Communication was effective on Whatsapp. Location is ideal close to the station and within walking distance of the historic center and sights. The peaceful garden is great for quiet siestas and antipasti……

  The apartment was excellent, the bedrooms, toilets, kitchen were renovated and very nicely furnished. The beds were very comfortable, the location is close to the center and the train station, there are very good restaurants nearby. The owner Andrea and the girl who welcomed us were very kind and very helpful in everything.

  From the outside, it looks like posh offices, but the ground floor garden apartment was ideal for our visit. Very spacious, dog friendly and just s short walk from the city centre. Given how hot it was in the week we stayed, the air conditioning was particularly welcome. The garden was enclosed so our dogs were able to join us outside without the need for a lead.
  
  What could be improved: The shower was a little small and some bigger cups and glasses would have been welcome, but there was nothing we didn’t like.

  It was the best location for visiting Verona and the Arena. We were a group of 5 and were perfectly comfortable in the apartment.
  Kitchen lighting didn't work – or we couldn't find the right switch. No big deal. We found our way and our stay was great. The host was responsive, hand over of the keys was easy. Definitely recommended!
