Sometimes those are exactly the places that surprise you the most. Walking up to the entrance, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually cares about this place – not in that over-polished hotel chain way, but more like someone’s genuinely proud grandmother decided to open her elegant home to travelers.

The thing that struck me right away was how the staff seemed to actually remember guests’ names (and I mean beyond just the check-in pleasantries). My room had these lovely touches that felt intentional rather than cookie-cutter – maybe it was the way the lighting worked in the evenings, or how the linens had that perfect weight that’s not too heavy but substantial enough to feel luxurious. The whole place has this warm, lived-in elegance that’s hard to fake. I mean, you can tell when a hotel is trying too hard versus when it’s just… right. The common areas invite you to actually sit and read rather than just pass through, which honestly is rarer than it should be these days.

What really won me over was the attention to those little things that matter when you’re traveling. The Wi-Fi actually works everywhere (including that dead zone most hotels seem to have near the elevators), and the breakfast setup runs smoothly without feeling rushed – you know how some places make you feel like you’re inconveniencing them by wanting coffee after 9 AM? Not here. The neighborhood itself has that authentic feel where you’ll find locals going about their daily routines, which gives you a much better sense of the place than being stuck in some tourist bubble. I noticed the housekeeping team takes their time with rooms rather than just doing a quick turnover, and it shows. Sure, it’s not the flashiest place you’ll ever stay, and if you’re looking for a massive pool complex or twenty different restaurants, this isn’t your spot. But for travelers who appreciate genuine hospitality and want to feel like they’ve discovered something special rather than just booking another generic room, Ginevra’s House hits that sweet spot. That 8.6 rating makes perfect sense to me – it’s the kind of place where small imperfections are easily overlooked because the overall experience just feels authentic and welcoming.

  What could be improved: It was difficult to find the house because the address guides us to another direction. I had to contact the property because at 3:40pm we didn’t have information about self check in.

  Really good apartment with great amenities(kitchen, terrace, air con etc)! Just a short bus from train station- is slightly out of the centre however we found it worth it to stay here and hire scooters which took 10 minutes to the centre! Really lovely hosts who gave us very good information on how to check in, the area, etc! Would definitely recommend this property and stay here again

  I liked everything, from check-in to check out! The apartment is perfectly clean, it has a very romantic vibe, and I would recommend it always for couples who want to spend some quality time in Verona.
  The apartment is spacious, light, and super comfortable.
  The hostess, Giulia, is a wonderful person. She made sure that we had everything we needed, and she offered to recommend some places for us to visit.
  All in all, the stay was amazing, and I will definitely come to Verona again and stay in Ginevra's house, of course.
  
  What could be improved: Absolutely nothing! Everything was perfect.
