Ginevra’s House Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Ginevra’s House, you immediately sense this isn’t your typical four-star hotel — it feels more like staying at a sophisticated friend’s place in Verona. The property sits quietly on Via Lina Arianna Jenna in the Borgo Milano district, and honestly, the location couldn’t be better positioned for exploring the city while avoiding the tourist crowds that pack the historic center. There’s something refreshingly authentic about this neighborhood that makes you feel like you’re experiencing the real Verona, not just the postcard version.
The Neighborhood Advantage
What I love about this area is how it strikes that perfect balance — you’re close enough to walk to Verona’s main attractions, but far enough out to enjoy genuine local life. The Stadio district means you’re near Bentegodi stadium if you’re into football, but more importantly, you’re surrounded by actual Veronese neighborhoods with proper cafes and restaurants where locals actually eat. I mean, you can grab a real espresso in the morning without paying tourist prices, and that matters when you’re staying several days. The bus connections into the historic center are frequent and reliable, though honestly, the walk isn’t bad either if you don’t mind a bit of exercise.
The Experience Inside
The rooms at Ginevra’s House have this refined, residential feel that sets them apart from standard hotel accommodations. Everything feels thoughtfully chosen rather than mass-purchased from a hotel supply catalog — you know what I mean? The attention to detail shows in small touches that actually make a difference during your stay. The space feels generous without being overwhelming, and there’s a sense of calm that’s hard to find in busier parts of the city. It’s the kind of place where you actually want to spend time in your room, not just crash for the night.
What Makes It Special
The service here strikes that sweet spot between professional and personal — they know what they’re doing without being stuffy about it. You get the sense that the staff actually cares about your experience in Verona, not just whether you’ll leave a good review. The property’s design feels distinctly Italian but not in that over-the-top way some places try too hard to achieve. There’s an understated elegance that lets you focus on why you came to Verona in the first place, rather than being distracted by flashy hotel amenities you don’t really need.
Why Guests Love It
Couples consistently rate this place highly, and after staying here, it’s easy to see why. There’s an intimate, peaceful quality that makes it perfect for romantic getaways — the kind of place where you can actually have a conversation over breakfast without competing with tour groups. The location gives you options: you can dive into Verona’s famous sites during the day, then retreat to a quieter neighborhood for dinner and evening walks. It’s that combination of accessibility and tranquility that’s surprisingly hard to find, especially at this price point in a city as popular as Verona.

Reviews of Ginevra’s House

Big house.
What could be improved: It was difficult to find the house because the address guides us to another direction. I had to contact the property because at 3:40pm we didn’t have information about self check in.
The bathroom and bedroom had a lot of humidity.Fabian from Costa Rica – 26 September 2024 (8/10)

Alicia from United Kingdom – 16 July 2023 (9/10)
Really good apartment with great amenities(kitchen, terrace, air con etc)! Just a short bus from train station- is slightly out of the centre however we found it worth it to stay here and hire scooters which took 10 minutes to the centre! Really lovely hosts who gave us very good information on how to check in, the area, etc! Would definitely recommend this property and stay here again
What could be improved: We wish we were staying longer!!Tea from Serbia – 12 July 2023 (9/10)
I liked everything, from check-in to check out! The apartment is perfectly clean, it has a very romantic vibe, and I would recommend it always for couples who want to spend some quality time in Verona.
The apartment is spacious, light, and super comfortable.
The hostess, Giulia, is a wonderful person. She made sure that we had everything we needed, and she offered to recommend some places for us to visit.
All in all, the stay was amazing, and I will definitely come to Verona again and stay in Ginevra's house, of course.
What could be improved: Absolutely nothing! Everything was perfect.
