What I really appreciate is that Via Giovanni Grioli sits just off the main tourist drag, so you get all the convenience without the constant stream of tour groups walking past your window. The couples who stay here seem to get it — there’s something romantic about being able to wander back to your room after an evening aperitivo without needing a map or taxi.

The Rooms

The rooms at Giove Rooms are what I’d call thoughtfully simple. You’re not getting marble bathrooms or Egyptian cotton sheets, but everything feels clean and well-maintained. The windows — and this matters more than you might think — actually open properly, which is perfect for those warm Verona evenings when you want to hear the city settling down for the night. The beds are comfortable enough that you’ll sleep well after a day of walking on ancient cobblestones, and there’s decent storage space for your luggage (always a concern in historic buildings).

Getting Around

One of those details that becomes important after you’ve been traveling for a while — you can actually walk everywhere from here. The train station is about a fifteen-minute stroll if you’re not dragging heavy bags, and honestly, walking through Verona’s streets beats taking a taxi anyway. You’ll pass local cafes where people are having their morning cornetto, and you get a feel for how the city wakes up. Plus, being centrally located means you can duck back to your room during the afternoon heat (which, trust me, you’ll want to do in summer).

What strikes me about Giove Rooms is that it delivers exactly what it promises — a solid, well-located place to sleep in one of Italy’s most beautiful cities. You’re paying for the location and the experience of staying in the heart of Verona, not for fancy amenities you probably won’t use anyway.   The location is perfect . Walking distance everywhere. The room is spacious , clean , bed is comfortable. There was kitchen equipment, a few towels brought to our room and cleaned once during those three days stay.
  
  What could be improved: We didn’t like the fact that the front door to the apartment is not being locked and you can only lock our room.
  Also there was a coffee machine but no coffee pods so that’s a bit inconvenient.

  The room was spacious. It had a desk, a tv, and a big closet. The external bathroom was also large. Both the bathroom and the room are very clean. It seems that Francesco cleans the external private bathroom daily as well as the communal dining area. He also cleaned our room and left us new towels every other day which we weren't expecting, but were very grateful for. We only met Francesco once on the property, but he was kind. He is responsive to questions and provides sufficient information on how to check yourself in once you arrive on the property. The location is pretty good too. It's in a quiet location just a 5-10 minute walk away from the historic center walls. The room itself wasn't well isolated to sound so you might hear other guests talking, but it was pretty quiet when we were there as other guests were very respectful about the noise as well. Overall a great stay. Thank you, Francesco!
  
  What could be improved: If I were being really picky, the shower in the external private bathroom seems quite tight/small for taller or larger people. Otherwise, we didn't really have any issues with it.

  Very clean and comfortable room. Good location to explore city – it's about 10-15 minutes walk to city center and main attractions. Friendly host provided clear instructions to self check-in (it is very good option).

  Beautiful and spacious room with a large private bathroom and balcony. The entire property is spotless and comfortable. Great facilities and very well maintained.
  Francesco is wonderful to deal with and gave wonderful instructions to enter the property. He allowed us to leave our bags for a couple of hours after check-out. This meant that we could see Juliet’s Tomb and the Archaeological Museum before our train.
  The shared kitchen area is well-stocked with a fridge, toaster, kettles, crockery, cutlery and bottle opener.
  
  What could be improved: We couldn’t make coffee. There is a pod machine but we brought ground coffee with us.
