Guesthouse Verona Overview
First Impressions
Honestly, Guesthouse Verona caught me off guard in the best way possible. You check in at Via Camuzzoni 2, then walk just next door to number 3 where you’ll actually stay — it’s a quirky setup that somehow works perfectly. This three-star guesthouse sits in the Borgo Milano – Stadio area, and I mean, the location alone makes it worth considering. There’s something refreshingly unpretentious about the whole place that I really appreciated.
The Neighborhood
The Borgo Milano – Stadio district is actually one of Verona‘s best-kept secrets for travelers who want to feel like locals rather than tourists. You’re close enough to the historic center without dealing with the crowds that swarm around Juliet’s balcony all day. What I loved most was how couples seem to gravitate toward this area — and honestly, I can see why. The streets have this authentic Italian residential vibe, with little cafés where you can grab an espresso without fighting through tour groups. Plus, if you’re into football, the stadium is practically on your doorstep.
The Room Experience
My room was simple but thoughtfully arranged — you know what I mean when I say it felt like staying at a well-organized friend’s place rather than a sterile hotel. The furnishings weren’t fancy, but everything worked exactly as it should. What struck me most was how quiet it was at night, which is actually pretty remarkable considering you’re still in the city. The windows blocked out most of the street noise, and I slept better than I expected for a three-star property.
Breakfast and Practical Perks
The breakfast setup really impressed me — they offer Continental, Italian, and buffet options, which gives you flexibility depending on your mood. I alternated between grabbing a quick Continental breakfast when I wanted to get out early and indulging in the full Italian spread when I had time to linger. The coffee was genuinely good, not that watery stuff you sometimes get at smaller places. And here’s something that’ll save you headaches: they have private parking right at the hotel. Trust me, if you’re driving in Verona, this is worth its weight in gold.
Why Guests Love It
Look, Guesthouse Verona isn’t trying to be something it’s not, and that’s exactly why it works so well. The location consistently scores above 8 out of 10 with guests, and after staying there, I completely understand the hype. You get authentic Verona without the tourist markup, plus you’re positioned perfectly for both exploring the historic sites and experiencing how locals actually live. The staff genuinely cares about making your stay comfortable rather than just checking boxes, and sometimes that personal touch makes all the difference between a forgettable night and a place you’d actually recommend to friends.
To book hotel in Verona during the famous opera season at Arena di Verona, visitors should make reservations well in advance as the city attracts romance seekers and culture enthusiasts from around the world.

Reviews of Guesthouse Verona

Great location, friendly staff, good breakfast.
What could be improved: NothingSilviu from Romania – 13 March 2025 (9/10)
Breakfast was very good, staff very friendly, clean and close to the train station.
What could be improved: The gym is said to work until 22:00 but at the reception they did not allowed me to go at 21 because it was closed one hour earlier, apparently, so not until they said.Amy from United Kingdom – 3 January 2025 (9/10)
We had a very comfortable stay at Guesthouse Verona. The room was surprisingly spacious and the breakfast was excellent value. The staff were extremely friendly! The hotel is a bit of a walk from Verona but very handy for the train station, which is what we needed.
What could be improved: More space for towels and toiletries in the bathroom would have been nice but this is a minor detail!Annick from Italy – 29 December 2024 (7/10)
Very clean room. I loved the colour of the hotel entrance, as well as the rooms. Also, the staff was very friendly and helpful.
What could be improved: The bed wasn’t comfortable enough. We hardly slept through the night.
Also, breakfast didn’t have enough options. I am lactose intolerant and I couldn’t find any milk nor yoghurt adapted for me.Abdelmajid from Morocco – 16 December 2024 (9/10)
clean, calm, the reception team was very nice people.. breakfast was good..
Konstantinova from Ukraine – 6 November 2024 (9/10)
Everything was good. Hotel has a good location. It is 8-10 min from the train station and 20 min from the city centre. Stuff was helpful and friendly.
Room was clean, cosy and comfortable, it had everything we needed. Only one thing we noticed, that tea caps in the number were not very clean.
Breakfast was good.
We were allowed to leave our luggage after check out.Samantha from United Kingdom – 28 October 2024 (9/10)
We were delayed by around 3 hours so arrived past 3am, but check in was quick, efficient and friendly. Room was perfect, plenty of space, clean and comfy bed. Close to train station & short walk from the centre
What could be improved: The walk to the centre was fine in the day although you do have to cross some busy roads. This is the only negative, but for us was well worth the compromise for the price and lovely room.Franklin from United States – 21 October 2024 (9/10)
The hotel was very clean. The room was furnished with all the essential furniture and bathroom equipped with all necessary toiletries. The breakfast was pretty good. The only thing I was surprised about that I had to wait to pay for the room which caused me to miss my train. Since I provided my credit card previously I expected them to charge me. Also I dud not have cash on me for city tax. I just would have prefer to deal with all these when I checked in instead of check-out. Other than that the hotel was great!!
What could be improved: The shower was really nice! The bed was very comfortable.Margarita from United States – 17 October 2024 (7/10)
Excellent breakfast.
Good size room.
Comfortable and cleaned bed and pillows.
Location near the train station.
What could be improved: Mold smelling in the room and in the hallway near the door that caused me allergies, congestion and coughing.
Suggestion: better control and safety procedure for keeping luggage.Madeleine from Australia – 10 October 2024 (7/10)
10 minute walk from the train station and was easy to find. The access process to the guesthouse is a little odd, needing to be buzzed in to the adjoining building and then again to access the floor the apartment was on. However, the reception is manned 24h so there wasn't a delay in being let inside. The windows had shutters on the outside that could be raised and lowered from buttons inside, the curtains were otherwise sheer.
They have laundry facilities for use for €15 with one detergent pod provided. The washing machine is a small 7kg front loader where a full cotton cycle takes 2h45m or there are 15m/30m quick washes. There is also a dryer and Ironing board available. Reception was always helpful.
What could be improved: The room was accessed for cleaning despite having the 'do not disturb' sign hung on the door.
The shower door was broken, though still functional.
The apartment door leads to a small corridor with a few other apartment doors and the one to be buzzed in on the level. We found that our door was not very sound proof and could easily hear people coming/going in the corridor.
