GuestHouse127 Overview

You know what? GuestHouse127 is one of those places that doesn’t need to shout about how fancy it is – it just quietly does everything right. I’ll be honest, when I first heard the name, I wasn’t expecting much (the “127” part had me thinking it might be some generic chain setup), but this three-star spot actually surprised me in the best way possible.

The thing that struck me right away was how the staff genuinely seemed to care about making your stay work. I mean, you can tell the difference between someone going through the motions and people who actually want to help, you know? The check-in was smooth – no rushing, no attitude when I asked about late checkout. And honestly, for a mid-range place, the attention to detail was refreshing. The rooms aren’t huge or anything, but they’re thoughtfully laid out, and everything feels clean and well-maintained. The beds are actually comfortable (I’m pretty picky about this), and the WiFi works properly throughout the building, which – let’s face it – isn’t always a given even at pricier hotels.

What really won me over, though, was how they handle the little things that can make or break a stay. The soundproofing is decent enough that you’re not lying awake listening to your neighbors’ conversations, and the housekeeping team clearly takes pride in their work. I noticed they stock the bathrooms with toiletries that don’t smell like industrial cleaner, which sounds minor but makes those early morning showers so much better. The common areas have this relaxed vibe – not trying too hard to be hip or boutique-y, just comfortable spaces where you can actually sit and plan your day without feeling like you’re in someone’s showroom. And speaking of planning, the front desk folks are genuinely helpful with recommendations. They’re not just handing you the same tourist brochures everyone gets; they’ll actually tell you about places locals go and warn you about stuff like construction or crowds if you ask. The 8.0 rating this place has earned feels spot-on to me – it’s not perfect, but it delivers consistently on what matters most to travelers. You’re getting solid value here, the kind of place where you sleep well, start your day without stress, and don’t feel like you’re being nickel-and-dimed for basic services. I’d definitely stay here again, and honestly, I’ve recommended it to friends already.

  • Angelika from United Kingdom – 29 March 2025 (9/10)

Very good location. 10 min walk to central bus and train station as well as 10 min walk to the college o and all attractions . Aldi is also like a 5 min walk away.
Nice , spacious, clean room, with kettle and coffee cups. Bed was suuuuuper soft, like a marshmallow. Bathroom spacious and nice balcony however the balcony was coming out the bathroom. Not much coverage on the windows/ balcony bathroom door . I’m order to take a shower I had to pull all the blinds down. Slight inconvenience but managed fine. Only negative thing, one tiny fridge to share between 6 flats. Luckily it was just me and one other room that was occupied, so our food and milk etc just about fit. I’d imagine this would be an issue if it was fully booked. It is quite typical however in hotel apartments like this across Italy, essentially the fridge is a bonus, I would not expect it to be included in the price however. One their small negative, the host wasn’t much of advice / recommendations in terms of food or drink in the area, compared to other hosts I’ve staid with across Italy in the past.

  • Danya from Netherlands – 27 February 2025 (9/10)

For four nights, the team here was simply outstanding. Their helpfulness went far beyond expectations. They were genuinely kind and understanding! I requested an early check-in due to my five-year-old and our early flight, and they proactively confirmed it a day prior to our arrival. Upon entering the triple room, I noticed the extra bed wasn't present, but a quick message resulted in an incredibly swift response. Within 30 minutes, they delivered it, and their demeanor was exceptionally polite and respectful. Before our departure, I inquired about a late check-out, which they readily granted. I also asked to leave our luggage in the entrance after checking out, and they enthusiastically agreed to assist. My stay was thoroughly enjoyable. The room was impeccably clean, and when we requested fresh towels from housekeeping, they were provided instantly. Whenever they could lend a hand, they did so with genuine warmth.
    Highly recommended
The location was amazing! Everything was reachable within 10 to 15 min (walk distance)

  • Brittany from United States – 15 October 2024 (8/10)

Location is walking distance from the train station and walking distance to the historic town center. There’s many restaurants nearby and the building feels safe.

What could be improved: I wish we could’ve unclogged the espresso machine when we were there. It did get fixed the next day so we could use it before checking out.

  • Laura from Lithuania – 6 September 2024 (9/10)

What could be improved: It wasn’t possible to leave bag before check in.

  • Lina from Ireland – 31 August 2024 (8/10)

Location is great, staff look after their clients, we left headphones behind and there was no problem to send it back to us.

  • Kara from Ireland – 8 July 2024 (9/10)

Coffee but no milk or milk powder available. Room was very nice and clean.

What could be improved: I had requested an early check in as we were arriving early and I have an autistic child. We were told no, yet when we arrived at 2pm, the property was available. They could have told us that. I also received a passive aggressive message from Arianna berating me for not replying to her messages on WhatsApp. We had our own bathroom but it was across the hall. When we went to bed early we could not sleep as someone in the surrounding area had their windows open and the TV blaring.

  • Georgi from Ireland – 2 April 2024 (9/10)

    Location

  • Katarína from Slovakia – 31 May 2023 (9/10)

It took me only 10 minutes to the city centre and 15 to the train station. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable, and instructions for the building entrance were understandable.
