Hotel Europa Overview
You know what? I’ve walked past Hotel Europa dozens of times before I actually stayed there, and honestly, I was kicking myself for waiting so long. This 3-star place has that quietly confident vibe – it’s not trying to impress you with marble lobbies or flashy chandeliers, but there’s something genuinely welcoming about the whole setup that grows on you pretty quickly.
The thing that struck me most was how the staff actually seemed to know their stuff about the neighborhood. I mean, when I asked about decent coffee nearby (because let’s be real, hotel coffee is usually terrible), the guy at reception didn’t just point me toward some tourist trap – he gave me directions to this little place around the corner where locals actually go. That’s the kind of insider knowledge you don’t expect at a mid-range hotel, but somehow they’ve got it figured out. The rooms themselves are what I’d call refreshingly honest – clean, comfortable beds that actually let you sleep, decent water pressure in the shower, and windows that open properly if you’re one of those people who can’t stand stuffy hotel air conditioning all night.
What really won me over, though, was the attention to those small details that make or break a stay. The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the building (shocking, I know), there’s enough plug outlets near the bed for your phone and laptop, and – this might sound silly – but the curtains are thick enough to keep the room dark if you’re trying to sleep in. I’ve stayed at supposedly fancier places where they somehow mess up these basics. The 8.3 rating makes perfect sense to me because this isn’t about luxury amenities or Instagram-worthy interiors, it’s about getting the fundamentals right and then adding little touches that show someone’s actually thinking about what travelers need. Check-in was smooth, the elevator didn’t sound like it was about to give up on life, and honestly, I slept better there than I have at some four-star places that cost twice as much. If you’re looking for somewhere reliable without the pretension, Hotel Europa delivers exactly what it promises.

Reviews of Hotel Europa
Diana from Bulgaria – 8 April 2025 (9/10)
location – perfect,
garage – perfect – next to the hotels door
hotel and the room – clean
breakfast – poor, but OK, no bacon and fried eggs, no vegetables .
What could be improved: location, garage, cleanliness, style of the hotel. the rooms are small but enough.Rodica from Moldova – 1 April 2025 (9/10)
I loved million times the location! Perfect, in the middle of everything. Big Big Like for it!
What could be improved: The view from our room was not the expected one, a near building and in between like an empty pool, somehow scary 🙂 Wouldn’t describe like something particularly bad, just i would prefer a nicer view.Gatt from Malta – 18 February 2025 (8/10)
We loved everything about the hotel and the location!!!
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
What could be improved: The only thing to complain about was that our room was right next to the street on the side, and we heard all the noise of the people in the street outside at night.Cla from Malta – 2 January 2025 (8/10)
The Hotel is very close to Piazza Bra. The receptionist was very helpful.

Location location location!!
What could be improved: This seems a little ridiculous, but the hair dryers were pitiful!!!! They could easily do better!!!Richard from United States – 8 September 2024 (9/10)
The location was fantastic. Close to shops, restaurants, and attractions. Everything is walking distance since this hotel is right you know what it is at the Coliseum. Very cozy and family like environment type Hotel. Parking was excellent as the hotel was accommodative with their private garage. Loading and unloading luggage was a snap. The hotel upgraded our room and we had two balconies in our room with a view. Be sure to request the hotel to reserve the garage if you're parking a car.
What could be improved: If you're driving a car, the hotel is somewhat difficult to find. The police had the street blocked for an event so after several attemps and calls to the hotel, it took us about 30 minutes to finally realize we needed help. There were many streets that cars were not allowed into. The room was somewhat small but typical for a European size room. Since we had rooms facing the shopping areas it was somewhat noisy at night. Not a deal breaker since we liked our room. Benefits outweigh the detriments.
We would definitely stay there again in that same room.Brett from United States – 17 August 2024 (8/10)
Location, good service
What could be improved: Breakfast wasn’t great. AC unsatisfactoryMichael from Ireland – 4 April 2024 (9/10)
