Hotel Giberti & Spa Overview
You know what struck me first about Hotel Giberti & Spa? It’s one of those places that actually lives up to its 8.8 rating without trying too hard to impress you. I mean, walking into the lobby, there’s this immediate sense that someone really thought about how spaces should feel – not just look good in photos, but actually work for people who’ve been traveling all day.
The spa element isn’t just thrown in there as an afterthought either, which honestly surprised me. I’ve stayed at plenty of four-star places where the “spa” is basically a small room with a massage table, but here they’ve clearly invested in making it a real part of the experience. The treatment rooms have this subtle eucalyptus scent that somehow doesn’t feel overwhelming, and the whole area has these floor-to-ceiling windows that let in natural light without making you feel like you’re on display. Actually, I ended up spending way more time in the wellness area than I’d planned – there’s something about the way they’ve designed the relaxation spaces that just makes you want to linger with a book or just… well, relax.
What I really appreciated though was how the staff seemed to anticipate things without being intrusive about it. You know how some hotels either ignore you completely or hover constantly? This place hits that sweet spot where they remember your name and coffee preference by day two, but you never feel like you’re being watched. The rooms themselves are solid – nothing groundbreaking, but thoughtfully laid out with plenty of outlets (thank god) and blackout curtains that actually block light. I’m pretty sensitive to noise when I sleep, and even though I could hear some activity in the hallways during busy checkout times, it never felt disruptive. The housekeeping team clearly takes pride in their work too – I left my stuff scattered around one morning and came back to find everything tidied but exactly where I’d still expect to find it. Small thing, but it shows they pay attention. Honestly, for a four-star property, Hotel Giberti & Spa delivers on that promise of being upscale without being stuffy, comfortable without being boring. It’s the kind of place where you might extend your stay just because checking out feels like leaving a well-run friend’s house.

Robert from United Kingdom – 2 March 2025 (8/10)
The room was excellent. Location is good – walking distance to the old part of the city. Private parking under the hotel.
What could be improved: Breakfast slightly disappointing for hotel of this standard – limited hot food choices.
Room excellent – better quality than the reception areas which are a little dated.
Be careful in the car park. It is an odd shape and rather tricky to manoeuvre.Jill from United States – 22 February 2025 (9/10)
The bathroom was wonderful! Big, beautiful tub and the room was great.
