Hotel Martini Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Hotel Martini? The name had me expecting some kind of swanky cocktail lounge vibe, but honestly, this 3-star place is way more charming than pretentious. I mean, sure, there’s definitely a bar situation happening in the lobby – and they do make a decent martini if you’re curious – but the whole feel is more “comfortable neighborhood gem” than “look at me, I’m fancy.”
What really impressed me was how the staff actually seemed to give a damn. You’ll notice it right from check-in – none of that robotic “welcome to our establishment” nonsense. The front desk folks were genuinely helpful, and I’m talking about real recommendations, not just pointing you toward the tourist traps everyone already knows about. One of them steered me toward this little café around the corner that I never would’ve found otherwise. The rooms themselves are exactly what you’d want from a solid 3-star – clean, comfortable beds that don’t leave you with a crick in your neck, decent water pressure in the shower, and enough space to actually unpack without feeling like you’re playing Tetris with your luggage. The décor won’t win any design awards, but it’s tasteful enough and clearly well-maintained. Actually, I appreciated that they didn’t go overboard trying to be trendy – sometimes you just want a room that feels like a room, you know?
The whole place has this relaxed energy that’s hard to fake. Mornings in the breakfast area were particularly nice – there’s something about the way the light comes in through those big windows, and the coffee was surprisingly good for hotel coffee. I ended up chatting with other guests pretty naturally, which doesn’t always happen at bigger chain places where everyone’s rushing around. The neighborhood itself is one of those areas where you can walk around without constantly checking your map app, and there’s actual life happening on the streets – not just other tourists taking photos. Parking can be a bit of a dance if you’re driving (isn’t it always?), but the hotel staff had some solid suggestions for nearby spots that won’t break the bank. Look, with an 8.5 rating, Hotel Martini is clearly doing something right, and after staying there, I get it. It’s not trying to be everything to everyone – just a well-run, comfortable place where you can get a good night’s sleep and feel like you’re staying somewhere that actually has some personality. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need.

More convenient location – 5 minutes walk from the station. There is a possibility to leave luggage at the hotel before check-in. Comfortable bed. The room is small, but very comfortable and ergonomic. Delicious and varied breakfast. We admired everything. We wish you prosperity!

Spacious, quiet (to the back), very clean room, luggage rack large enough for 2(!) suitcases, kettle (some tea, instant coffee etc.), little fridge … The hotel can be reached from Verona train station in about 8 minutes by foot. The old town can also be easily reached by foot.
It's certainly not a romantic hotel, but it's a great starting point for a train trip to Italy and exploring the city of Verona. The staff was also very friendly.
We will definitely consider booking this hotel again when we visit Verona.Hayley from United Kingdom – 27 March 2025 (9/10)
