Walking up to it, you’d almost miss it if you weren’t looking carefully, which I sort of love in a world where every hotel seems to be screaming for attention with giant neon signs and flashy facades.

The moment you step inside though, everything clicks into place. It’s got this intimate, almost residential feel that actually lives up to the “house” part of its name. The staff genuinely remembers your name after one interaction (not in that forced, corporate training way), and there’s this lived-in elegance throughout the spaces that feels effortless rather than designed by committee. I noticed they’ve got these incredible little details – maybe it’s the way the light hits the lobby in the afternoon, or how they’ve arranged the common areas so you can find a quiet corner even when it’s busy. The rooms themselves are thoughtfully laid out, and I mean really thoughtfully – like someone actually considered how you’d move through the space with a suitcase, where you’d want to plug in your phone, that kind of practical stuff that hotels often overlook.

What really sets House 74 apart is this perfect balance they’ve struck between being polished enough for a special occasion but relaxed enough that you don’t feel like you need to tiptoe around. The 9.4 rating makes complete sense once you’ve been there – it’s not just about fancy amenities (though everything works exactly as it should), it’s about how the whole experience feels intentional without being precious. I’ve stayed at plenty of four-star places that felt generic despite their impressive lobbies, but this one actually has personality. The neighborhood around it has this authentic energy too, which means you’re not stuck in some tourist bubble if you want to explore. Honestly, I keep recommending it to friends because it’s one of those rare finds where the reality exceeds whatever expectations you might have walking in – and in my experience, that’s pretty hard to pull off consistently.

  Location was far from the action (we were there for the Arena Opera) so a bus is essential. It would not be walkable. The bus is right in fron to the house, and for alte at night there was uber of course. Our host was gracious and even picked us up at the train station, expakined how to get in, etc. The apartment is luxuriously furnished – much more than we needed.
  
  What could be improved: The only deterrent is the distance to the town, actually. However, there is one of the best steak houses I have been to within a few minutes of the apartment. I recommend having some wine and steak there.

  Apartment well equipped and clean, beds comfortable. It is a bit of a walk to the center but all round good amenities. Excellent host, very helpful and detailed instructions and ❣️

  Everything is perfect, great location, private parking lots, Lidl supermarket 3 mins walk. Bus stop 5 mins walk.
  The landlord Stefano is very very nice.
  We enjoyed our stay , will definitely stay again if we ever come to Verona.

  A very elegant and modern property. Every detail was carefully considered. There is everything you need for a short or long stay. Very convenient place, close to the historic centre and the main Verona train/bus station -Porta Nuova. Out of the block, just across the road, there is a bus stop. It takes approximately 10 minutes to the old city where you can explore Verona. In case you need a supermarket, there is Lidl below the block.
