House 74 Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to House 74, you immediately get the sense that this four-star boutique hotel takes itself seriously — but not in a stuffy way. The building sits quietly on Via Ugo Zannoni, and honestly, I almost missed it at first because it blends so naturally into Verona’s residential fabric. There’s something refreshing about a place that doesn’t need flashy signage to announce its presence. The entrance feels more like stepping into an upscale friend’s home than a traditional hotel, which sets the tone for everything that follows.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re actually in a real Veronese neighborhood, not some touristy bubble. Via Ugo Zannoni is residential and quiet, but you can walk to the historic center in about fifteen minutes (I timed it). The couples who stay here clearly appreciate this balance — they’ve rated the location 9.0, and I get why. You know what’s brilliant? They have free private parking right on site, which is basically gold in Italian cities. I mean, try finding parking near Juliet’s balcony and you’ll understand why this matters so much.
The Experience
What strikes me most about House 74 is how they’ve managed to feel both refined and genuinely welcoming. The staff actually remembers your name after one conversation, and there’s this easy sophistication throughout the property that never feels forced. The common areas have this lived-in elegance — think carefully chosen furniture and art that looks like it belongs, not like it was ordered from a hotel catalog. Recent guests have been rating their overall experience at 9.4, which honestly doesn’t surprise me after spending time here.
The Practical Stuff
The rooms themselves strike that perfect balance between comfort and style that’s harder to achieve than it looks. Everything works properly (you’d be surprised how often that’s not the case), and the beds are genuinely comfortable — not just hotel-marketing comfortable. The bathrooms are well-designed with good water pressure, and there are enough outlets in sensible places. These might sound like small details, but they’re the things that make or break a stay when you’re actually living in the space for a few days.
Why Guests Love It
After talking to other travelers here, the same themes keep coming up. People appreciate feeling like they’ve discovered something special rather than just booking another generic hotel room. The location gives you that authentic Verona experience while keeping you close enough to everything that matters. And honestly, the parking situation alone makes this place worth considering — especially if you’re doing a driving tour of the Veneto region. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’ve made a smart choice, not just a safe one.

Tutto pulitissimo e rinnovato da poco
Accoglienza e disponibilità dell'host impagabiliRichard from Switzerland – 3 September 2024 (9/10)
Location was far from the action (we were there for the Arena Opera) so a bus is essential. It would not be walkable. The bus is right in fron to the house, and for alte at night there was uber of course. Our host was gracious and even picked us up at the train station, expakined how to get in, etc. The apartment is luxuriously furnished – much more than we needed.
What could be improved: The only deterrent is the distance to the town, actually. However, there is one of the best steak houses I have been to within a few minutes of the apartment. I recommend having some wine and steak there.Peter from Netherlands – 27 August 2024 (10/10)

Everything is perfect, great location, private parking lots, Lidl supermarket 3 mins walk. Bus stop 5 mins walk.
The landlord Stefano is very very nice.
We enjoyed our stay , will definitely stay again if we ever come to Verona.Sani from United Kingdom – 7 April 2024 (10/10)
A very elegant and modern property. Every detail was carefully considered. There is everything you need for a short or long stay. Very convenient place, close to the historic centre and the main Verona train/bus station -Porta Nuova. Out of the block, just across the road, there is a bus stop. It takes approximately 10 minutes to the old city where you can explore Verona. In case you need a supermarket, there is Lidl below the block.
Stefano, the host is a very kind person. He will provide you with any information you need.
If we decide to go again to Verona will look for the availability of this property.
We highly recommend it!Mykhailo from Poland – 1 April 2024 (10/10)
