You know what caught me off guard about Icaro 1 Apartment? The moment I walked in, it felt less like a rental and more like staying at a friend’s really well-put-together place. I mean, whoever designed this space actually gets what travelers need – and I’m talking about the small stuff that most places completely miss.

The apartment has this lived-in comfort that’s hard to fake. The kitchen isn’t just for show either – there’s proper cookware, decent knives, and enough counter space to actually prepare a meal without feeling cramped. I spent a good chunk of my mornings there with coffee, and honestly, the natural light streaming through the windows made it feel like the perfect spot to ease into the day. The furniture looks like someone actually chose it rather than just ordering whatever was cheapest from a hotel supply catalog, if that makes sense. There’s character here – maybe it’s the way the books are arranged on the shelf, or how the artwork feels intentional rather than generic hotel room stuff.

What really sealed it for me though was how everything just worked. You know that frustration when you’re trying to figure out a temperamental shower or fighting with Wi-Fi that barely connects? None of that here. The place runs smoothly, and I get the impression someone who actually stays in vacation rentals designed the experience. The bed was genuinely comfortable – not too soft, not like sleeping on concrete – and the blackout curtains meant I could sleep in without the sun turning the bedroom into a greenhouse. Parking was straightforward too, which saved me from that usual dance of circling blocks looking for a spot. I’d definitely come back, and that’s saying something because I’m pretty picky about where I stay. It’s one of those rare finds where you feel settled within hours instead of spending half your trip adjusting to quirks and inconveniences.

  Absolute stunning, spacious and well equiped appartment right in the heart of Verona and within walking distance to all attractions.
  
  We were met by the host upon arrival who was very friendly, welcoming and accomodating.
  During our stay we accidently switched the boiler off and had to contact the host and within 20 minutes the hosts Andrea and Julia arrived at the appartment to rectify the issue despite it being 9pm at night. It appeared to us that nothing was too much of a problem to them and they were both extremely helpful to ensure we had the best stay. What lovely people.
  
  We had a fantastic holiday and would highly recommend this appartment.
