Il Tenore B&B Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Il Tenore B&B on Via Catullo, you immediately sense you’ve found something special in Verona’s historical center. This three-star bed and breakfast sits tucked away on a quiet street, yet you’re literally steps from everything that matters in this romantic city. The building itself has that understated Italian charm — not flashy, but authentic in a way that makes you feel like you’ve discovered a local secret rather than just another tourist accommodation.
Location & Neighborhood
Honestly, the location here is pretty much perfect if you want to experience Verona on foot. You’re in the real heart of the city, which means Juliet’s balcony is a quick stroll away, and the stunning Piazza delle Erbe is practically around the corner. I mean, couples consistently rate this spot a 9.8 for good reason — you can wander to dinner at those little trattorias tucked into medieval side streets, then walk home through lamp-lit cobblestone paths. The Arena di Verona? Maybe a five-minute walk. You know what’s great though? Despite being so central, Via Catullo itself stays relatively peaceful, especially in the evenings.
The Rooms & Comfort
The rooms at Il Tenore B&B strike that sweet spot between cozy and comfortable without trying too hard to be fancy. What really stands out — and guests consistently mention this — are the beds. They’re genuinely comfortable, which matters more than you might think when you’re spending days walking around Verona’s stone streets. The accommodations feel authentically Italian rather than generic hotel-style, with thoughtful touches that show the owners actually care about your stay. You’ll sleep well here, and that’s not something I say lightly about city center properties.
Breakfast Experience
Mornings start with a proper Italian buffet breakfast that sets you up nicely for exploring. It’s not elaborate, but it’s done right — think fresh pastries, good coffee (this is Italy, after all), and local touches that remind you where you are. The breakfast area has a welcoming atmosphere where you might actually chat with other travelers or get recommendations from the staff. Starting your day here feels natural and unhurried, which is exactly what you want before heading out to tackle Verona’s sights.
Why Guests Love It
What makes Il Tenore B&B work so well is how it balances location with genuine hospitality. You’re staying somewhere that feels connected to the real Verona — not isolated in some tourist bubble — yet you have all the comfort and convenience you need. The staff knows the area and can point you toward those little discoveries that make a trip memorable. For couples especially, there’s something romantic about staying in the historical center where you can step out your door and immediately be part of the city’s evening passeggiata. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’re living in Verona for a few days rather than just visiting it.

What could be improved: There’s nothing we didn’t like. Thank you for having usIlze from Latvia – 16 February 2025 (9/10)
Perfect! Very close to main street in centre. Easy to find. Host was super! Suggested really nice more local places fo have dinner!
What could be improved: If you want to go out to have dinner in nice not touristy place, you have to make reservations, other wise it's in God's hands 😁Alenka from Slovenia – 31 October 2024 (9/10)

They went to a lot of trouble to make us feel at home here, the place was very clean and the amenities excellent. He told us the places to eat which were excellent and good value, he was always available to answer questions so a big thank you for that. There is a fridge, microwave, kettle and coffee maker plus tea, coffee and milk etc – marvellous! The kitchen/communal area is shared by three other appartments but we had the place to ourselves for the first day which was great, we had the double room with the adjoining bathroom. The location is perfect!
What could be improved: I can imagine that it would get very very noisy with the other rooms occupied, a couple used the room next to ours on the second night and you could hear them very clearly through the walls (this was after they woke us up with the late arrival 🙁 ). Breakfast is provided but not in the appartment, you have to walk 10 mins to a local cafe for it. Parking is also referenced but the parking is in the city some 15 mins walk away and costs 21 Euro's a day. there isnt room to park outside without blocking the road so best to use the main carpark unless its rainingEric from United States – 21 September 2024 (9/10)
The B&B was clean, all the necessary amenities, very spacious, in a great location.
Sophie from Australia – 23 June 2024 (8/10)
Location was great!! Bed was very comfortable, room spacious
What could be improved: The double rooms proximity to the triple room was a bit noisy in the night with the neighbours banging both their door and the bathroom several times. Not much you can do about that though.Meltem from Turkey – 2 December 2023 (9/10)
Everything was perfect. Location is perfect. In the heart of the city.

I am giving a maximum rate even of our experience wasn't perfect – a pipe broke on a bathroom near our room and we didn't have water in our bathroom. But the place is gorgeous, the location perfect and the staff very kind.
What could be improved: I think the management had to send a plumber immediately and not next morningBernadette from Ireland – 4 August 2023 (9/10)
The room was very comfortable and spacious. The location was incredible.
What could be improved: The electrical socket to charge my phone was coming out of the wall. A quick fix!Kurbataviciene from Lithuania – 1 August 2023 (9/10)
