Interno gavi Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Interno gavi feels like discovering a well-kept secret tucked away in Verona‘s historic center. This four-star boutique property sits right on Piazza Pasque Veronesi, and honestly, the location couldn’t be more perfect if you tried. You’re literally steps from everything that matters in this romantic Italian city — I mean, you can practically roll out of bed and be at Juliet’s balcony in five minutes.
The Heart of Verona
What really struck me about this place is how it manages to put you right in the thick of things without feeling touristy or overwhelming. The hotel’s location score of 9.7 isn’t just marketing fluff — you’re genuinely in the sweet spot where locals actually live and work. The narrow cobblestone streets around the property are lined with authentic trattorias and wine bars that you’d never find in guidebooks. Plus, having private parking available on-site is honestly a game-changer in a city where most hotels leave you scrambling to find a spot blocks away.
Your Room and Comfort
The room itself strikes that perfect balance between historic charm and modern comfort that’s so hard to nail in these old Italian buildings. You know what I appreciated most? The attention to detail — from the way the morning light filters through the windows to the quality of the linens. It’s clear they’ve put thought into creating spaces that feel intimate rather than generic. The bathrooms are particularly well done, with that mix of contemporary fixtures and classic Italian design that makes you feel like you’re staying somewhere special, not just convenient.
Romance and Atmosphere
There’s a reason couples rate this place so highly for romantic getaways — the whole property has this intimate, almost secretive vibe that makes you feel like you’ve found your own private corner of Verona. The staff seems to understand this too; they’re attentive without being intrusive, which is exactly what you want when you’re trying to have those lingering conversations over morning coffee. The common areas have this warm, welcoming feel that encourages you to slow down and actually enjoy being in Italy rather than just checking sights off a list.
Why Guests Love It
What sets Interno gavi apart is how it manages to feel both authentically Veronese and genuinely comfortable for international travelers. You’re not staying in a museum piece that looks great but feels cold, nor are you in some generic hotel that could be anywhere. Instead, you get this perfect middle ground where you can walk to the Arena di Verona for an opera performance, then come back to a place that feels like a sophisticated home base. The 9.3 rating really reflects what you experience here — it’s the kind of place that exceeds expectations without trying too hard, which honestly is pretty rare these days.

Nice apartment, very good location, everything is very close. There is parking garage.

Excellent location, very clean on arrival, two bathrooms was a bonus with party of 4. Double room and twin room worked well for our family. Kitchen seemed well equipped although we didn’t use it much. Air conditioning very effective. Beds great and a lift up to the front door was well used. Communication before and on arrival was great, thank you.
What could be improved: The entire floor below our apartment was being refurbished during our stay. This resulted in hammering and building work noises from early in the morning for 6 of the 7 days of our stay. As we were out of the flat most of the time it wasn’t a big issue but wakening to repeated hammering most mornings wasn’t part of our holiday plans. Noises were always stopped by the time we’d return in the evenings. Presuming this will be completed soon then the apartment is a super base for any stay in the area and I would go back again if I return to Verona.Lucy from United Kingdom – 29 July 2024 (10/10)
Spotlessly clean, incredibly well equipped.
What could be improved: We spent very little time in the apartment but another chair in the living room area would be good. There were four of us but the sofa really only sat 2 comfortably and then 1 easy chair.Joe from New Zealand – 30 June 2024 (10/10)
Great location. Beds comfortable. Good WiFi. Nespresso machine.

The photos don't do it justice. Apartment is light filled and beautiful ❤️ it's also in a great location. The rooms are large and the beds are comfortable. Shower pressure is good. Don't hesitate to book it. We were four adults and one baby, and found it quite comfortable.
What could be improved: The only things for us specifically, as a family travelling with a young baby (8 months) were that:
The kettle was shedding (white bits floating in the kettle every time we filled water), which made it a bit inconvenient to make bottles. We boiled water in a pan on the stove.
The doors were so creaky 😂 just needs oiling. We'd put the baby to bed and the creaky doors would wake her up. It was like a person shrieking 😂 kind of funny.
The apartment was pretty well fitted, but needed things like dishwasher tablets and more toilet paper.
Honestly, not deal breakers and if you don't have a baby, the first two won't really bother you.Alison from United Kingdom – 9 June 2024 (8/10)
The location of Interno Gavi was excellent – very close to Piazza Bra and the main shopping area. The contact from the host in advance was excellent (both English and Italian), giving me clear guidance for how to get to the apartment via taxi or public transport. He was very helpful and cooperative, enabling us to check in earlier than stated and we connected through WhatsApp which was easier for contact. We were greeted by a young man with the keys and shown how to use these, get in and out of the building and there was a welcome gift of a cake and bottle of wine. There were helpful maps, brochures and books about Verona and Italy. AT the end, when one of us with a disability was leaving, the young man helped her with suitcases, some shopping for electrical plugs for phones/laptop.
What could be improved: I have nothing much to add here. It might have been nice to have a bottle of cold water in the fridge. Perhaps you could have provided more bathroom soap/shampoo and body lotions – but not essential. Having Bedrooms upstairs may be difficult for anyone with limited mobility that was shown in the property description and even though there was a lift to the flat. It would be good to be shown the wifi password on arrival.Stephanie from United States – 3 June 2024 (10/10)
The location was super convenient, and the large apartment was great for our family of 5. Having two bathrooms complete with two showers was extra nice. The hosts always responded very quickly when we had questions, and the location was fantastic. It was a short walk to the old town, but not as busy as the old town. The main attractions in Verona were all very close by, and there were lots of great restaurants and bakeries to choose from.
What could be improved: I was really glad that they had a washer/dryer in the apartment, but it took many, many hours to do one small load of laundry. I think that is typical for the combo washer/dryer setup, but was surprising coming from the US with our giant washers and dryers that can turn out a load in two hours or less.Wall from United States – 12 May 2024 (10/10)
Great location! Spacious rooms.
L-auren from United States – 4 May 2024 (10/10)
APARTMENT: Spacious, two-level apartmen with enough room for 4 guests. The living room and dining room are the same space, which was really nice for lounging, relaxing, and strategizing. There is an elevator to reach the apartment, which is nice if your feet are tired. There is parking available on site with a fascinating automatic car elevator. We didn't need it, but it would have been interesting to use.
ROOMS: Also spacious and comfortable. Both bedrooms are upstairs. One bathroom upstairs, the other is downstairs, near the kitchen.
BATHROOMS: Spacious and clean, with nice lighting and bidets. : ) There is also good water pressure.
The shower fixtures were kind of challenging to use…water shoots out from the side of the overhead shower, but the handheld showerhead is fine.
KITCHEN: Well equipped with multiple types of coffee makers. This was very thoughtful.
LOCATION: Excellent. It is by Piazza Pasque Veronesi, with a very convenient bus stop out front. (The bus stop to/from Stazione Porta Nuova is Castelvecchio.) The apartment is just steps away from everything, but it still feels quiet.
There is a Pam Supermarket 400 meters away, as well as a very good gelato shop on the way.
The host who met us to exchange the keys was very nice. I appreciated her kindness.
What could be improved: We tried to figure out how to correctly use the overhead showers, but couldn't. I'm sure there is a way.
Overall, a great apartment in a fantastic location.Bradley from Australia – 8 January 2023 (10/10)
