Here’s what I love about staying in Borgo Venezia — you’re still very much in Verona, but you’re experiencing it like locals do rather than being stuck in the tourist bubble of the historic center. The area has this authentic Italian neighborhood vibe with cafes where people actually live and work, not just snap photos. You can easily reach the main attractions (we’re talking a short bus ride or pleasant walk), but when you come back in the evening, you’re in a quieter, more residential setting. The parking situation here is actually fantastic — they offer free private spots on-site, which anyone who’s tried to park in Italian city centers will tell you is worth its weight in gold.

The Room Experience

My room was honestly better than I expected from the photos online. The space felt modern and clean without being sterile, and there’s clearly been recent renovation work done throughout the property. What struck me most was the attention to practical details — good lighting for actually reading, plenty of outlets where you need them, and a bathroom that doesn’t require contortionist skills to use the shower. The beds are genuinely comfortable too, not just hotel-marketing comfortable.

Service & Amenities

The staff here operates more like a boutique hotel than a larger chain property. They remember your name, they’re genuinely helpful with local recommendations (not just the obvious tourist spots), and they seem to actually care whether you’re having a good experience. I mean, it’s not over-the-top service, but it’s that perfect balance of attentive without being intrusive. The property itself is well-maintained, and you can tell they take pride in keeping everything running smoothly.

Why Guests Love It

What really sets Iris 2 apart is how it manages to feel both professional and personal at the same time. Couples especially seem to appreciate the location — there’s something romantic about staying in a real neighborhood rather than a tourist zone, and the peaceful evening atmosphere is perfect for unwinding after busy sightseeing days. The combination of that authentic Verona neighborhood experience, reliable amenities, and genuinely caring service creates something you don’t find everywhere. Plus, when you factor in the free parking and the fact that you’re getting excellent value for a four-star property, it’s easy to see why people keep coming back here.

Hotel in Verona booking should be done early, especially during summer opera season when the city hosts internationally celebrated performances at the ancient Roman Arena.

  Sono anni che uso Booking, per me e per i miei familiari, ma una casa così confortevole, un'accoglienza così calorosa, un'attenzione e una cura tali verso le esigenze dell'ospite non l'ho mai incontrate. La casa è appena ristrutturata, ancora odora di nuovo: arredata con molto gusto, non manca nulla, il letto comodissimo, la biancheria impeccabile. Lisa e Alessandro ti riempiono di coccole dall'inizio, ti accolgono con tante cose buone…e già ti rilassi. Il condominio è tranquillo, il parcheggio ultra comodo, la zona ben servita e ben collegata. In un periodo non proprio semplice della mia vita, ho incontrato delle persone veramente squisite! Grazie
