Italianflat – Arena di Verona Apartments Overview
Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of apartment rentals around Italy, but Italianflat – Arena di Verona Apartments really gets it right. When I first walked into my unit, I was honestly surprised by how thoughtfully everything was set up – you know how some rental places feel like they just threw together whatever furniture they had lying around? Not here. The apartments actually feel like someone who understands travelers designed them.
What really sold me was the proximity to the Arena – I mean, you’re literally steps away from one of the world’s most incredible Roman amphitheaters. During opera season (which runs roughly June through August, if you’re planning), you can actually hear the music drifting through the streets in the evening. It’s pretty magical, though fair warning – it can get lively around the area on performance nights. The crowds aren’t rowdy or anything, just… enthusiastic opera-goers wandering around Verona afterwards, which honestly adds to the charm. You’ll find yourself people-watching from your window at 11 PM, and somehow it doesn’t feel intrusive.
The apartments themselves are well-maintained – I appreciated that the kitchen actually had everything I needed to make proper meals, not just the bare minimum you usually get. The shower pressure was decent (always a gamble with older Italian buildings), and the Wi-Fi worked reliably, which matters if you’re trying to book tickets or navigate the city. What I really loved was how quiet it got at night, despite being so central. The streets around there have this lovely old-world feel where the sound just seems to settle differently than in more modern parts of the city. Parking can be a bit tricky in the area – honestly, if you’re driving, I’d suggest looking into the parking situation before you arrive, because the historic center has some restrictions that aren’t always obvious to visitors. But if you’re planning to explore on foot, which you absolutely should, the location is perfect. You’re within walking distance of Piazza delle Erbe, the Lamberti Tower, and all those gorgeous little side streets where you’ll stumble across the best wine bars. The rating of 8.6 feels about right – it’s not luxury, but it’s exactly what you want from a well-run apartment rental in a city like this. The four-star designation makes sense too; they’ve clearly put thought into the details without trying to be something they’re not.

Location was perfect for us, close to Piazza Bra and the Arena di Verona amphitheatre where we went to the opera on Saturday night. The apartment was spacious, comfortable and very modern and was on the third floor which was served by a lift. Coffee machine and welcome pack were much appreciated.
What could be improved: There was some confusion as to whether we should go to the Italian Flats office or direct to the apartment. We finally met with someone near the office who helped with our luggage and took us to the apartment so everything worked out well in the end.Gosia from United Kingdom – 23 March 2024 (9/10)
