During opera season (roughly June through September), the streets buzz with anticipation in the evenings, and honestly, there’s something magical about hearing those voices drift through your window if you leave it cracked open. The rooms themselves are what I’d call “efficiently Italian” – clean, functional, with that particular European charm where everything feels just slightly smaller than you’d expect but somehow perfectly proportioned. The bathrooms are compact but well-designed, and the beds are actually quite comfortable, though the pillows lean toward the firmer side if that matters to you.

What really sold me on this place was the morning routine, actually. You step outside and within minutes you’re grabbing a proper espresso at one of those tiny bars where the locals lean against the counter reading their newspapers – none of that tourist café nonsense. The streets around here wake up early but in that gentle Italian way, with shopkeepers hosing down their storefronts and the smell of fresh bread drifting from the panetteria down the block. Parking can be tricky (it’s the historic center, after all), but there’s a decent-sized lot about a ten-minute walk away, and honestly, once you’re settled in, you won’t need your car much anyway. The rating of 8.4 feels about right – it’s not luxury, but it delivers exactly what it promises without any pretense. If you’re the type who wants to fall asleep to the distant hum of evening strollers and wake up in the heart of one of Italy’s most romantic cities, this place gets the job done beautifully.

  The location was perfect. The property was safe and we enjoyed our stay there. The staff were very helpful even when the shower drain stopped working. They made our stay as easy and comfortable as possible even in the hard situation.
  
  What could be improved: We could hear the neighbors very well so the soundproofing of the property was not the best. It didn’t bother us too much but it was something we noticed. The room was mostly clean but the floors were a little dirty and that was noticeable when we came from the shower and our feet got dirty.

  Location was superb, short walking distance to the arena. Staff were friendly and helpful. Stylishly converted apartment, with lovely shower.
  
  What could be improved: Bed and pillows were a little hard. Downstairs a little damp and oppressive, but fine provided you don’t plan to eat in. Two small things: there was only a tiny bin in the bathroom, would be helpful to have one upstairs and one in the kitchen area. Also would be helpful to have cabinet by sink to put cosmetics/hairdryer etc on.

  The rooms were spacious and we had access to everything we needed for our stay, staff were also helpful and a message away when we needed them
  
  What could be improved: the wifi cut out on our second day and would not reset so we struggled a little, there was also an intense heatwave and the air conditioning in the bedroom wouldnt go below 28 degrees, the lower room was cool though but it meant we couldnt use / sleep in the master bedroom because the heat was too much.
