Italianflat – Rentroom Old Town – 200mt to Arena Overview

First Impressions

When I first walked up to Italianflat – Rentroom Old Town – 200mt to Arena on Piazzetta Scala, I honestly wasn’t expecting much from what looked like a typical apartment building. But you know what? Sometimes the best places hide in plain sight. This three-star property sits right in the thick of Verona‘s historical center, and I mean really in the heart of it — you can practically hear the echoes from the Arena di Verona just 200 meters away. The check-in process is straightforward, though you’ll want to coordinate your arrival time since it’s an apartment-style setup rather than a traditional hotel lobby.

Location That Actually Matters

Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of places that claim to be “centrally located,” but this one delivers on that promise. You’re literally surrounded by everything that makes Verona special — Juliet’s House is a quick stroll away, and the main shopping streets are right at your doorstep. What I really appreciated was being able to walk back from dinner without worrying about taxis or figuring out public transport. The couples who stay here seem to get it — they’ve rated the location 9.7, and honestly, I can see why. There’s something romantic about stepping out your door and being immediately immersed in those narrow cobblestone streets.

The Space Itself

The apartment setup works really well if you’re planning to stay more than just a night or two. You get your own space with a proper kitchen — nothing fancy, but it’s got everything you need if you want to grab some fresh ingredients from the local markets and cook something simple. The room was clean and comfortable, though don’t expect anything too modern or flashy. It’s more about function than form, which actually fits the whole vibe of staying in a real Italian neighborhood rather than some sterile hotel chain.

Getting Around and Practical Stuff

One thing to keep in mind — parking in this area is basically non-existent, so if you’re driving, you’ll need to use one of the public garages nearby. But honestly, once you’re here, you won’t need a car anyway. Everything worth seeing in Verona’s old town is walkable, and the train station isn’t too far if you’re planning day trips. The building itself is pretty quiet, which surprised me given how central it is. I guess the thick old walls help keep the street noise down.

Why Guests Love It

This place works because it gives you that authentic “living in Verona” experience without breaking the bank. You’re not just visiting the city — you’re actually staying in it, in a real neighborhood where locals go about their daily business. The 7.9 rating reflects what you get: solid accommodation in an unbeatable location. It’s not going to wow you with amenities or service, but if you want to wake up and be steps away from the Arena, Piazza delle Erbe, and all those little wine bars tucked into medieval corners, this is your spot. Just remember to pack light — those old building stairs can be a workout with heavy luggage.

Reviews of Italianflat – Rentroom Old Town – 200mt to Arena

  • Carlos from Spain – 9 March 2025 (8/10)

I had a wonderful stay at this guesthouse in the center of Verona during my business trip. The location is perfect, within walking distance of the main attractions, restaurants, and public transport. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained.

  • Diana from Portugal – 24 February 2025 (8/10)

The location is great, in the center of the city and the room is climatized and very comfortable.

What could be improved: You can ear a little of noise from the other rooms.

  • Enkelejda from Austria – 13 August 2024 (8/10)

Quite basic room. The lication is very convenient being in the very central position near to Arena and many attractions. The good thing is that there is air condition in the room which id very necessary for the hot summer days.

What could be improved: It would be useful to have a fridge in the room to keep cold water and other refreshments.
The wifi connection was a bit slow

  • Laurens from Belgium – 9 June 2024 (8/10)

Location was amazing, room very decent. All you need besides a fridge but good bathroom, bed, etc

What could be improved: Lack of reception on Sunday was a bit impractical, we couldn't leave our luggage after check out

  • Karolina from Lithuania – 20 February 2024 (9/10)

    Perfect location!

  • José from Italy – 31 October 2023 (8/10)

Very well located. Just few steps from the main attractions.
Centric but also very quite. Perfect for a short vacation

What could be improved: Nothing to complain about. Maybe just the old fridge I the room that makes some noise at night but this is not a big deal 🙂

  • Christine from Australia – 1 October 2023 (7/10)

Awesome location. Good security. Comfortable bed. The property manager helped provide us with items we requested like a kettle, cups, glasses, corkscrew.

What could be improved: We missed not having a small fridge.

  • Kelly from United Kingdom – 9 September 2023 (8/10)

Amazing location at a great price! Just off the main area square- but silent at night. Helpful staff who were happy to share local knowledge. Good transport links.
Good shower, large room and bed.

What could be improved: No safe-

  • Mina from Australia – 29 August 2023 (9/10)

Incredible location and very easy and clean

What could be improved: Annoying that the bathroom was seperate to my room

  • Danielle from South Africa – 10 July 2023 (9/10)

Quiet room in a wonderful, central location in the historic part of the city. The room was clean, although not very big, but it had a nice big closet. The bathroom was nice and big though. The restaurant downstairs around the corner had some of the best pasta I've ever eaten!

What could be improved: The room was a bit small, but Verona is an expensive city so I think it was fair for the price.
