Italianflat – Via Mazzini Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Italianflat – Via Mazzini feels like discovering a well-kept secret tucked into one of Verona’s most coveted corners. The entrance on Vicolo Giuseppe Mazzini is understated — you might actually walk past it if you’re not paying attention. What strikes you immediately is how this four-star property manages to feel both intimate and upscale without any of that sterile hotel lobby atmosphere. The check-in process happens at Piazzetta Scala 4, which honestly took me a moment to figure out, but the staff are patient about explaining the setup.
Location Magic
Here’s what you need to know about the location — it’s absolutely unbeatable. I mean, couples rate it a perfect 10, and after spending time here, I completely understand why. You’re literally in Verona’s historical heart, surrounded by medieval streets that lead to Juliet’s balcony, the Arena, and Piazza delle Erbe within minutes on foot. The property sits on a quiet vicolo (that’s a narrow street, for those brushing up on their Italian), so you get all the benefits of being central without the constant noise of tourist crowds. You know what’s brilliant? You can grab morning coffee at a local bar, wander to the market for fresh produce, and still make it back for an afternoon nap — all without dealing with buses or taxis.
The Apartment Experience
The apartments themselves strike that perfect balance between authentic Italian character and modern comfort. Each unit feels more like staying in a friend’s well-appointed Veronese home than a typical hotel room. The kitchenettes are actually functional — not just decorative mini-fridges and coffee makers like you find in some places. I appreciated having space to spread out, especially after long days exploring the city’s Roman ruins and Renaissance palaces. The furnishings lean refined without being fussy, and there’s enough storage that you won’t be living out of your suitcase for the entire stay.
Neighborhood Rhythms
What I love about this area is how it feels genuinely residential despite being so central. Early mornings, you’ll hear locals heading to work rather than tour groups gathering for their daily itineraries. The nearby streets hide some fantastic osterie and wine bars that tourists often miss — places where you can actually taste proper Amarone without paying tourist prices. The evening passeggiata (that’s the Italian evening stroll) happens right outside your door, and honestly, there’s something magical about watching Veronese families and couples take their leisurely walks past your window as the sun sets over the medieval rooftlines.
Why Guests Love It
The location score of 9.9 isn’t just marketing fluff — it’s earned through those small moments that make a trip memorable. You can duck into the apartment between morning sightseeing and evening aperitivo, which is surprisingly valuable when you’re doing serious exploring. The independence of having your own space, combined with being steps away from everything that matters in Verona, creates this perfect sweet spot for travelers who want authentic experiences without sacrificing comfort. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like a temporary local rather than just another tourist passing through.
Verona hotels provide guests with comfortable accommodations in this UNESCO World Heritage city, known for its romantic atmosphere, Roman architecture, and world-class opera performances.

Reviews of Italianflat – Via Mazzini
Hdx from Switzerland – 30 July 2024 (8/10)
The apartment is very well located in the center if one wants to explore this historical city, especially it is close to the arena, just few minutes walk distance. The apartment is exactly like as been described on Booking. The communication with the host was smooth and the key collection is very easy.

Amazing location, extremely spacious well-equipped apartment. There was an initial problem with the dishwasher but they sent someone out to fix it quite quickly.
What could be improved: Nothing reallyGillian from Canada – 23 May 2024 (9/10)
The Grand apartment was spacious and ideally located within the historic centre, just off of Via Mazzini, brand name shopping lane
What could be improved: The Moka pot was too small for the induction stovetop. The shower attachment isn't ideally located as it wets up the bathroom floor. Recommendation, either use a smart shower curtain or sliding shower doors that are the length of the bathtub. The bathtub is also very slipperyNina from Netherlands – 29 December 2023 (9/10)
Great location. The red room. The buddha.
What could be improved: One of the rooms were not very comfortable. No adaptor for the induction and the water cooker was not clean.Stephen from United Kingdom – 12 December 2023 (9/10)
Perfect central location for getting around the city.Christmas markets and the festive feel was very enjoyable for our group . Plenty of restaurants, bars in close to the apartment .
What could be improved: Beds were firm but everything required for a weeks stay . Parking is not available near to the apartment . A 20 min walk to a free parking lot .Gemma from Spain – 16 May 2023 (9/10)

What could be improved: Air conditioner between bedroom and living room was not working.Pawel from Poland – 16 October 2022 (8/10)
A lot of space
What could be improved: The sofa need some cleaning or replacementJennifer from United Kingdom – 26 June 2022 (8/10)
ideal for 2 couples even though 1 bed is very very small.
What could be improved: both showers leaked and toilet seat was off its fixings. communication with office was mixed. good ahead of arrival and access allowed earlier than the 15.00 stated. after that all messages calls and emails were ignored. facility to return keys and store bags was closed and this was an important question ahead of booking as we had late in the day flights. in the end has to leave keys in flat as office not open to return them.Susan from United Kingdom – 17 June 2022 (9/10)
