Juliet’s Terrace on the River Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Juliet’s Terrace on the River? It’s one of those places where the name actually undersells the experience – and I mean that in the best possible way. When I first pulled up, honestly, I was expecting something a bit touristy given the romantic name, but this 4-star spot has this genuine charm that feels more like stumbling onto a local secret than checking into a hotel.
The riverside location is the real star here, and I’m not just talking about pretty water views (though those are spectacular). There’s this gentle sound of the current that becomes this constant, soothing backdrop – you actually forget how much city noise stresses you out until it’s replaced by something this peaceful. The terrace areas – and there are several scattered throughout the property – have this lived-in feel where you can tell guests actually hang out rather than just pose for Instagram shots. I spent way too much time out there with my morning coffee, watching the light change on the water. The staff seems to get that this is what people come for too – they’re not constantly hovering or trying to upsell you on spa packages.
What really impressed me was how they’ve managed to keep things feeling intimate despite being a proper hotel. The rooms have character – not that sterile boutique hotel vibe, but actual personality with thoughtful touches that suggest someone who travels a lot designed them. The bathrooms are surprisingly luxurious (rainfall showers that actually have good pressure), and the beds are that perfect firmness where you don’t wake up feeling like you wrestled with the mattress all night. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too – none of that drawn-out resort presentation, just friendly efficiency from people who seem to genuinely enjoy their jobs. Parking was easier than I expected, which is always a relief when you’re arriving somewhere new. The 9.6 rating starts making sense once you’re there a few hours – it’s not flashy perfection, but everything just works well together. The kind of place where you find yourself already planning your next visit before you’ve even checked out.

Bagno molto pulito e ben attrezzato – riscaldamenti molto buoni e funzionali.
Terrazzino delizioso con bell'affaccio.
Ben posizionato rispetto al Centro città.

High recommendation for this apartment! The location is in the centre, everything is near. It's very big and cosy, has got a terrace and it's very well equipped with everything you may need.

Extremally helpful host, who contacted us a couple hours before arrival to arrange smooth c/in. Apartament located in the heart of the Old Town, very new, fresh and comfortable. Well equipped kitchen and bathroom, comfortable bed, fresh bed linnen and efficient AC. Parking lot included in apartment rate was a huge advantage, which made us to choose such apartment.
What could be improved: Despite the fact, parking was included in rate, we could not use is, as on Sunday we were scheduled to leave at 6:00 latest, and the parking opens at 9:00. Hopefully we have found the alternative spot – The university parking open 24/7 and the host cover its costs.
I would recommend to equipped bedrooms with tiny bedside gabinet for mobile charging purposes and handy stuff.
Instead of a too long line of digits at Wi-Fi password, I would change it into something easier for ex. I love Verona instead.
The last issue was too complicated and awkward of Italian c/in procedure with taking foto of all guests faces together with our ID in order to get by email 7 pages contract agreement, we prefer to skip on holiday.Filip from Slovakia – 13 May 2024 (10/10)
